I really wanted this but the opening on the size Large is just too much for me
i dont like my shirts to flare out and a size medium wont work for my shoulder measurements but its ok, whoever gets this beautiful piece enjoy it

It feels really good when you put it on, but it’s not soft like a kersey. It definitely has some break-in ahead of it. Realistically, it’s probably going to sit until early fall unless we get a few random cool nights before the heat really kicks in here. Either way it’s an incredible piece.

This one has me intrigued. Probably going to be my first purchase of the season and I'll go with an XXL. (usually either an XL or XXL based on measurements) Wish there was fade examples.

I tried both a L and a XL in a store and unfortunately, it's not for me. L was snug over the shoulders, chest, and a little short. XL was good over the shoulders and the sleeves were actually not that bad. Way too big waist and opening for me though, and the pockets made that more pronounced. And still on the shorter side. I think it will fit someone with a little sturdier frame than I have.
The fabric is great, really thick and sturdy but still soft.Hoping for a regular western version in the future!

A lot of nice photos of the shirt also surfacing from various retailers who still stock it. Resisting hard at the moment, because I also have the Ship John Sashiko shirt on its way. It's that burly blue shirt addiction.

Just received mine
My first CPO but probably not my last.
I don't know why I was awaiting something lighter and softer, this is IH man !!
Joke aside, this is sturdy indeed, but I've the impression it will soften up nicely with wear and wash.
My hand were already a little blue from the trying on.Just the perfect weight to do the "shaket" style imo when you go out at night and you need something to put over a T or a shirt, and you don"t want to wear a cardigan or a pull-over.
The fabric is really original (But I never had sashiko).
Wouldn't have minded a cm or 2 more in the sleeves; it's perfect now so I hope it doesn't shrink.
I normally look "good" with a waist around 51 and an opening of 53. This is a large pretty muchas the charts, and I don't think it looks too big honestly. Might have to do with the sturdiness, but I think it drapes nicely
Some pictures for those on the fence about the fit. The picture with the shirt closed is over a T, but I could wear it with a light wool pull over the T-shirt.
I'm 180cm and 78kg at the moment.

I'm pretty surprised that these didn't sell out instantly. This became my favorite shirt I own the second I put it on for the first time. Here's a picture for anyone wondering what it looks like with the copper snap upgrades.
