Still new to IH and digging into some of the older pieces. This is simply a stunning jacket and this updated cut is better for layering that some chores out there. Hoping to see this rerun in the future!

Really enjoying these videos, Chibs. They're funny, engaging and have a self-awareness that stops it from becoming worship or too geeky. I think you've sold me on the virtues of a denim vest too! Appreciate you putting the time into making this content.

Incredible fabric and look forward to seeing what pieces this denim might be used for along with the jeans. A CPO from this would be stellar

@roydub87 interesting take on western yokes being more appealing but it speaks to the predominance of them in the IH lineup. I thought the coolest thing about the 427, along with the whipcord shirt also from FW25, was that it didn't have the yokes. Would love to see more of the yokeless going forward!

First post on the forum. I'm yet to own any Iron Heart but have fallen down the Amerikaji rabbit hole after visiting Japan earlier this year. Planning on picking up a UHF, CPO, some jeans and hopefully one of these bad boys when I return to Tokyo in early '26. Is the brown N-1 due for restock with this F/W drop?

RE: IH-634S-BLK - Black 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeanposted in Bottoms
Ended up grabbing a pair of these when I visited Hachioji back in February but only recently started wearing them to work. From the (limited) history in this forum in seems like they will be a stubborn denim to fade (rope-dyed sulphur black warp?) but excited to see how they will eventually evolve. In certain lights they look almost like a deeper indigo dyed pair of jeans but given I picked up a classic 634S too I can see the contrast between them. @northsouthdenimguy your photos above with the two pairs folded captures this really well! It's not as stark as something like the SBG, though I didn't see any of those at any IH stores in visited in Japan, so I'm guessing that is an IHUK fabric?

@roydub87 some fatigue style ones would be a great, versatile piece, especially with the more contemporary shorter inseam that was featured on the double fronts. In Australia we generally prefer our inseams above the knees!

@stitchdown.shell Layers look on point, brother. Is the thermal from IH also?

@Inorganic I visited Hachioji earlier this month before driving up to Gunma and can confirm that they do not have this in stock. Would've been a cool find. Overall I would say they were relatively light on inventory coming out of FW25 and anticipating SS26, but they can check stock at other stores in Osaka, Nagoya and Kojima if you're after something in particular and ship it to your accommodation too, so don't be afraid to ask. The customer service was unparalleled, even compared to other heritage shops in Japan where the standard is already high

@Giles thank you for clarifying the origins of this fabric. An interesting journey and I'm glad I picked something up at Hachioji that I couldn't get anywhere else. So I was correct these have a rope dyed sulphur black warp? They do indeed look beautiful with the contrast stitching and it would be great to see if this denim could make its way into the West in a CPO or jacket. Given what I've read elsewhere on this forum however, it's a struggle to make enough 21oz denim as it is.

@Inorganic my pleasure. And please enjoy your time in Japan. If you happen to be a size small, I visited the Nagoya store yesterday and they have one black Wabash chore jacket out the back!

@Oaktavia question for you regarding this piece. I noticed on the Untucked duck CPO that the placket seems to consistently flare out when its worn with the buttons open, if that makes sense. Most prominently the upper part of the placket. Have you noticed this piece doing anything similar? Your wearing it buttoned up in most photos, so was just curious.
