@CosmoSix5 This is the first work shirt I’ve ever owned, so take what I say with a grain of salt …

I normally take XXL in IH western shirts and by the measurements it would have been perfect. I ended up sizing up to a XXXL, and I’m sure glad I did. The sleeves are just the right length for me, and I don’t think I sacrificed anything in the way of the fit in others areas.

I had to return the 439 western (black) as the sleeves came up sort on that one too. Go figure 🙃

@CosmoSix5 I think it looks good right now but once you wash it, it’s gonna be too small. I know you’re a tall guy and the sleeves might be a problem

@Choko how much do you think the waist / opening shrinks on these with a warm wash / warm tumble?
I have an XL that I’m hesitant to return as L are sold out everywhere. It’s not massive on me, but I’d love for the body of the shirt to shrink a bit.

@CosmoSix5 Why are you returning it? The fit looks brilliant to me. Doesn't look tight or small anywhere at all to me. Personally I wouldn't be returning anything because I was worried it might shrink a little.

I doubt it would shrink much at all, if anything. If you follow the instructions, and it'd be negligible. And certainly from the photo it looks like you'd hardly notice the difference.

            Just my opinion....

@Brandrea this is good advice. And I could've used it. Only one other IH work shirt is in my closet and it fits perfect. The 21oz Sashiko. 3XL
Either way, boxed up and excited for the orange. And a purple western a buddy sold to me.

@CosmoSix5 Same here. The fit in the body is excellent (finally a shirt that doesn't flare out at the waist!!), but the sleeve length killed it for me. Was able to buy a size larger in the Orange, but not SAX blue, so I'll be making the same swap! Honestly, orange was first to catch my eye anyway, so I just hope it's not too big around the waist compared to shoulder & chest like most other IH shirts.

I wonder if this material shrank more than they expected? Seems unlike IH to come up short on sleeve length... It's one of the things they specifically tout for motorcycle wear, after all.

Yep, sometimes the dyes do stuff we didn't predict very well. But the upside is that now we have another shirt, that all the people who bitch about the arms of our shirts being too long can wear....

There is always an upside. As @Chibs says. Your Mileage May Vary......Not sure that he coined it 🙂 But I will always associate it with him......

The arms are the same length on the purple and I’m 100% there for it!! 😍
