IHSH-442-SAX - 9oz Selvedge Flannel Check Work Shirt - Sax Blue

I’ve yet to lay handle on an uhf but the 9 oz does feel summerable because it’s not brushed. Much better than my flat head brushed flannels. It’s certainly not going to behave like a 5oz cotton or linen shirt, but it does breathe well

How is the 9oz compared to the UHF? Are they wearable in the summer season?
Summer nights for sure.

Great shirt and my first work shirt. Must say the fit is as good as it gets for me. 99.9% spot on. Not keen on the buttons though as someone else mentioned. Feel cheap compared to Freenotes. Definitely not a summer shirt unless you live in Ireland but a great spring, fall and winter one!

@Gavin666 agree on all points, great fit and cut. Part of why I gravitate toward heritage Japanese brands is the fit. For me being tall and slim, just about every American brand is not compatible (tbd on Freenote shirting). There are many other heritage brands with far worse buttoning, but I do think for the price, a more “premium” button may be warranted. The western snaps are very nice, I’m not sure if they are true mother of pearl but that would be cool if they could do it. Freenote does just hit it out of the park on many points but every brand has their quirks. Freenote doesn’t do hidden rivets for example, to me that’s a bummer

Here for a fit check. Sizing was smaller than the chart on every metric. Bought from an IH USA retailer not IHUK fwiw. XXL

@CosmoSix5 I think it looks good right now but once you wash it, it’s gonna be too small. I know you’re a tall guy and the sleeves might be a problem

don’t wash that beauty it will be toast
