Dead and Co. at The Sphere!!

I wanted to start a thread where we can talk about the Jam Scene. There seem to be plenty of Deadheads here so I think this will get some traction. I like to go out and catch a show or two a month and San Diego here attracts a good number of tours, so I will report back on the shows I see.

Are you seeing any shows soon? Are there bands in your local scene we should check out? Do you have a crazy story about the Phish lot? Did you see the Dead when Jerry was with us?

      Settle down easy......

@Heritage_Guy this is awesome. I’m a huge OG Dead head and one of my delights was seeing how many others are here on the forum as well. Caught quite a few shows back in the day with Jerry and still listen to em everyday. Was thinking of starting a Grateful Dead thread, but this is prob better with a little wider net. Thanks for starting it!

I never saw Jerry but I've seen Phil and Friends and Dead and Co. numerous times. I try to catch Dark Star Orchestra any time they're in town and have been trying to catch JRAD but it never meshes with my schedule.

Any groups that you have seen lately that you have been digging?

I have seen the OG Grateful Dead with Jerry 100+ times
And I have seen Phish 250+ times.
            Photographed many.
I guess that just makes me old.
            Plus many other shows.
Goose and Spafford are my newest jam bands I see. Well not so new, but newer.

I saw Spafford last Nov and they opened with a rockin 'Take Your Mama' and then jammed out a second set version of STP's 'Plush". Fantastic band the keyboard player was fun to watch He really gets into it.Spafford BUP.JPG

I have tickets to see Goose this summer, seems we are the same wavelength. As someone that grew up a metalhead I am so stoked to have found the jam scene there are so many talented musicians that are touring these days!

              Cool Trey photo btw.

@Heritage_Guy You need to figure out how to make a JRAD show work out! They're unreal.

Umphrey's Mcgee has been fun to listen to lately. Billy Strings is incredible and always in heavy rotation.
