Jam Bands (and Jam Band Adjacent)
-
@Heritage_Guy awesome. love the jacket. first time i saw them was NYE 2006 at the fillmore. i'm not so much up on their most recent offerings though.
-
Throw this show on for starters.
I’ll give you some more recommendations when I have a little time.
-
I consider King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard extremely Jam Band adjacent. Here is a very cool I'm in Your Mindfuzz era behind the scenes film. Very cool to see a time capsule like this.
-
One of my favorite parts of the jam scene is giving and receiving miracles!

-
KGLW Fest, Panic at Red Rocks, Phish at Dicks, JRAD at Dillon Amphitheater are on my summer hippie music calendar. We are doing the Strings in Sol jamgrass festival in MX this winter too. Not mad about any of it.

@mclaincausey
That is quite the itinerary. I'm particularly jealous of Field of Vision as Gizz isn't coming to the West Coast this summer. -
@Heritage_Guy we have extra 3 day and camping passes just sayin
-
@mclaincausey
I wish!! Unfortunately they scheduled the Fest during a PTO blackout at my job otherwise I would have already reserved. In past years I was able to do Los Angeles and San Diego 2 day runs. Hopefully next year! -
i saw JRAD at the UCSC quarry over the weekend on Jerry's birthday. always a great time and the venue is incredible!

-
JRAD is phenomenal!! I love what they do with the Dead's songbook. Really take it somewhere different and exciting.
-
@Heritage_Guy agreed! i had some long time heads but first time JRAD viewers with me. i told them to imagine if the Dead were in their prime, practiced a lot and all did some blow before every concert.
