Interested in this as well. My favorites from back in the day were the Buck Mason slub tees, which I bought a bunch of when the US made ones were still $28 a piece. Don't know if they're worth the $48 a piece that they are now, though.

My biggest thing that I can't stand with tees are they are either too heavyweight and rigid (even after multiple washes) or the collar is too tight. I like a little bit of breathing room around my neck.

      Wants List:

      IHSH-208-Indigo Kersey, L-XL

      IH-777S-SB size 32
      IH-777S-142 size 31 or 32

I love these shirts, "Bayside USA". I've purchased from All American Clothing, but found this other link is cheaper for the same shirt. Not a 2 pack. ~$15 a shirt sometimes on sale for ~$10. 6.1oz cotton and have held up great over time and many washes. They are a little long, and shrink a little first wash. But if you like the length, you can't go wrong. I don't spend too much on Ts, because usually some sort of food or oil stain appears within a few years before they wear out.

I machine wash them - normal setting, warm water, low spin - and then line dry them. I haven’t noticed any significant shrinkage.

This may just be me, but I did the Whitesville(XXL)two pack of white and black ended up selling both of them. They’re so short not to mention I could never dry them, they would turn into a baby T.

Although not truely white, I really like Ship John pocket T’s.

A note about Lady White standard Tee fit vs Merz 215

I washed these yesterday and they’re line drying. The lady white is a medium and the Merz is a size 6(L). Both have been washed several times.

The Merz is about an inch longer. But it is tighter in the shoulders, chest and stomach. It’s also a bit more heavy. I prefer it as a warm undershirt. The Lady White is much more comfortable and flattering in a jeans and tee shirt kind of way and has a more airy feel.

Not a two pack, except no man walks alone sells a 3 pack but + 1 for merz. I own about 10 of their 1950s tees in white. I buy one size up cause I found they did shrink over time. They are all in various shapes. Yard work tees, undershirts and used as only shirts. I’m in one almost every day. 1950s are lightweight from my view. Great for underneath and the summer heat

Although not a two-pack, they’re still somewhat affordable. I also have a couple in black and sky blue. Other than those and OrSlow pocket tees, I don’t wear a lot of T-shirts, but those two brands fit well and are relatively lightweight.

Whitesvilles are good and have a softhand feel. But its a thicker than what i am used to. I havent had bad shrinkage experiences others talk about with the tshirt though, but i cold wash most clothes etc. I think its good value if you get it cheaper at like bears tokyo etc

I have 6 whitesville and 6 samurai, 2 packs grey/white/black of each. The whitesville are short and more boxy, but great for high rise denim. The samurai are longer and slimmer but have very short sleeves. I dig both styles. I also like House of Blanks for an N.A. option.

Not a two pack, but I’m a fan of Ship John’s t shirts. They’re comfy, soft and light but hold up to abuse. I’m very picky on fit of a tshirt too. They’re not too tight on the arms and not too short on the waist. FWIW they’re perfect.

I was disappointed with Whitesville tees because they are too short after washing for my taste. However, the 3Sixteen Pima Tees have held up well with repeated wear and offer a more athletic fit.

No man ever steps in the same denim twice, for it's not the same denim and he's not the same man.

I was also disappointed by whitesville. They have great initial comfort, but not the longevity. I’ve tried a few times, but not for me.

The Red Tornado ones I got from AliExpress are my most worn T006 I think.

For comfort and fit the best I’ve ever owned is RRL. They seem to last for me, and when whitesville is £99 (UK prices) for two and RRL is £120 for two it’s not miles off.

Whitesville at £35 in Japan is different maths.

Broken old houses, boring Scottish whisky, weird Japanese denim, all French wine, sad American music, wool socks in summer.
