Didn't expect all sizes to still be in stock 3 hours after the drop. Guessing it was a pretty decent-sized batch. Or demand wasn't quite as high as for the XHSib.
Looks like they're selling out at some of the USA vendors. An advantage of buying direct, IMO

Just grabbed a pair. Has anyone soaked this denim while wearing them? A shop in the states that I buy from recommended doing this method with the UHR but I haven’t seen that suggested here.
Pointless rubbish espoused by Levi's.....Shrink to fit is a lovely marketing tag-line, but is meaningless.....Which is why we don't mention it

Well, of course you can (and people do), and it may make you feel good, but the end result will be the same as not wearing them.....
-
@Giles but Giles, a kid I knew, had a sister, who had a friend, that did that with her Jordache jeans...
-
@nurunuru Me either. I was expecting a quick sell out. Glad that I got my pair.
-
Is it correct that IH UK are only one, who sells 634 21/23oz?
-
@Luke_is_back IH germany as well

@Crease
Yeah came to same conclusion, im happy with what I have. Love my UHRs and they’re in great fading position when go back to them. Definitely agreed plenty more to try out in the future. lately been really wanting a straight black pair if can find pair of XHS or self edge got stocked up on 633 21oz SBG. Does the quest ever stop? Prob not lol but loving the journey -
First pair of UHR on the way. I'll probably read most of this, but what is the most common way. Soak before first wear or wear until they sink then wash?
-
@timmyboy As I understand it, the gospel as handed down by Haraki is:
Soak
Let dry
Wash
Let dry
Wear -

WearCorrected version. And @Kasi is correct in that you could wear them wet or damp to no harm, but you don't need to

Soak then wash to prevent marbelling...

I grabbed a pair of these and 888s yesterday, as both are my favorite cuts.
While they won't get much (if any) immediate wear due to temps in my area, I'll be rotating between the pair come next fall like @Oaktavia did last year with his xhs and uhrs.
-
@Oaktavia , I'm in no rush, fades will happen when they happen.
-
Thanks everyone. I'll soak, wash and wear. My first pair of iron hearts were 25oz and I washed out of the bag and ended up with weird marbling.
-
Even though I don’t need anymore jeans had to take the plunge as will be last chance! Sized down one from my usual 777 fit and keeping fingers crossed they are not too straight/baggy for me 🫰

@timmyboy recommend soaking your denim before every wash to prevent future marbling
