@worn2fade appreciate that man. I laid out
my most worn pairs tonight and they measure about 37.5-37.8” in the waist, so it seems like I’ll want to use those dimensions as a starting point. It’s a bit of an uno reverse from typical sanforized sizing but the size charts seem to suggest this is the right strategy. Thanks to you and others I think I’ve wrapped my brain around it
-
@RamblinRich just as an example of recent 888-xhsib tag 34 was 34.2" waist. Both me and worn2fade asked for big waist and got 34.6".
-
Thanks @moskiitto
that’s a pretty decent increase over the average. Cheers. -
@moskiitto thats good to know i wasnt sure what was possible when you ask them to give you a big or small tag etc
-
@cyclops same, wasn't sure if that much was possible but got pleasent surprise.
@RamblinRich cheers!

One thing that I noticed is that the front rise of these seems to be a bit higher than all my other 888s of the same size. Will this shrink at all in the first wash?
-
@VegaS10 it will shrink a tad bit with cold water or a little more if you hot wash it
-
@worn2fade @Alex Hey! Do you recommend going 1 size up for that jeans?
-
@Luke_is_back The best way to pick a pair of UHR jeans is to find a pair that matches your ideal measurements upon purchase.
They will shrink upon the first wash, the waist will stretch back out to pre wash measurements, the thighs will stretch out some. The length will not.
Edit: sizing up may not be ideal especially depending on what you’re comparing it to. Also, sizing up often leads to a pair that are too big when they stretch back out.
A pair too big out of the bag often leads to jeans that will always be too big.
-
@Luke_is_back I went up one size based on the measurements and did a hot wash in the washing machine on delicate cycle. They shurk perfectly and fit great with a little stretch they have after. I personally like washing my unsanforized pants with hot water to get them as dense as possible to help with wear and tear for the future in my experience.

Excited to watch this launch tomorrow!
-
I need 34” exactly, thinking I go 33 w and request a pair on larger end of 33.
-
@Denimhead-0 the measurements between a 33 and 34 are basically identical aside from the waist. You’d be good going with a larger 33 or smaller 34, but if you need the extra thigh space or bigger hem I’d say go up.
-
@Luke_is_back I agree with what goose responded to you. In my case (with the previous UHR launch,) I went true to size (34,) in this case looking at the size chart, I would’ve went 34 as well.
-
@Denimhead-0 I am also thinking that's the correct choice for you.
-
I have a sizing question, I'm a 39" waist, the thigh and other dimensions on the 38 are plenty big on the size chart, would I be better off ordering a 38 and asking for something on the larger end, or should I size up to 40? I am in the process of losing some weight (down 10, goal is another 10) but I know I shouldn't rely on that. Thanks!
