SEXIH25 = Self Edge x Iron Heart 19oz Denim Jeans

@WhiskeySandwich they look great man, I would definitely wear them if I were you.
-
@WhiskeySandwich
The loose life is the lux life.
-
@Go-For-Chill @dwils @Oaktavia @Matt
Thanks dudes, I do admit they’re a bit more comfortable than a slim 888. They’ll be in the rotation and I look forward to some progress on em
-
@WhiskeySandwich that doesn’t look like a looser fit to me, just a perfect fit
-
The looser fit has taken me some time to adjust to, I tend to like my jeans slim but not tight, and these felt super loose on me to begin with. But as they've broken in and I become used to being in them, they've felt normal. I'd still like a little more taper to the ankle, anything 8" or over just feels like they swallow my feet - I'm not often in boots.
I went back to my PBJ-019 SLBs (not a wholly dissimilar fabric, but quite a different cut) on the weekend, and they now feel quite slim and I now appreciate both looks a little more evenly.
-
@ManiacLachy I couldn’t agree more!
-
Think they measure the waist the same way as IH does right?
-
okay, these jeans are awesome. quickly becoming my favorite pair of the moment. They're super comfortable - I went with a double cuff and got everything set with @Oaktavia 's water sprayer trick. This seemed to work different than my usual wear-damp method because it targets scrunched spots rather than stretched spots to keep from getting saggy butt and knees because they've been thru the dryer and I want to minimize stretch. I think they feel looser than they look, which works out. The fabric is super special, I love the texture, weight is perfect, and they're super breathable. I've only worn them 3 full days and they're nice and broken in and I'm already surprised to see baby fades. Gonna rotate these with the 142od for a while and try to fast track both of them.
-
@WhiskeySandwich that’s awesome. Isn’t it nice when a pair we were anxious about turn out great?
I have a pair of these on the way.
Stoked to rock em all summer. -
@WhiskeySandwich hell yeah man the spray is the way. I also find that when I have a pair that is a size too large, they don't always look that way in the mirror. I recently had a similar thing happen with a pair of 16oz Pronto x IH slubby. A little big in the waist bit chill everywhere else. Beats too tight every time.
-
@Oaktavia absolutely. Every time i start a new pair, i forget about the awkward phase you go thru at first before they really mold to your body. Even when snug, they always feel/look loose in the wrong spots till the creases fill in those spots. it's like the 'dad jean phase'.
-
@WhiskeySandwich yup totally with you on that. Plus, I feel like we have such high expectations with each pair, it is easy to hear that voice in your head saying they look weird at first.
-
Some months in.

-
@GTPowers heck yeah! Those are some great fades

-
@GTPowers daaaaaang only after some months in looking sicko ….

Since the thigh measures approximately 0.5” larger when using the Iron Heart method (as IH measures it directly across the crotch), how does this translate to the waist?
For example, if a pair has a waist measurement of X when measured the Self Edge way, would that typically correspond to X + 0.5” or X + 1” when measured using the Iron Heart method?
If that’s the case (X + 0.5” or X + 1”), it would honestly be really helpful if they just added a note in the product description stating this. I’m sure it would save a lot of confusion and time, especially for those of us outside the U.S. who can’t really be bothered dealing with returns.
-
@Damocles. The IH waist measurement is typically 0.5 of an inch bigger than the Selfedge measurement.
-
@yannis thank you φίλε μου!

You speak Greek? @Damocles
