My first WAYWT here. Last day of a long weekend down in Sydney, in Hyde Park this morning.

It’s finally cool enough that I can start wearing my IH shirts! As long as I stay out of the sun and don’t elevate my heart rate. Even then I probably won’t make it past midday!

I’m dog sitting Bruno for a friend this weekend. My boxer Hobbes passed almost 2 years ago and I’ve missed his company very much. Having Bruno visit is nice, similar but different to Hobbes.

@Aetas loving having him here so much. It’s been a wet weekend, lots of cuddle time on the couch. I’ve got slobber marks on all the clothes I’ve been wearing, but that’s just the love of a boxer and I’ve missed it

My very first Iron Heart piece, bought from Self Edge back in 2008 during my initial raw denim phase, the Self Edge Exclusive IH Super Tan Belt.
I spent some time trying to work out what it actually was, clearly related to the current IHB-10 belt, but mine isn’t even stamped with the Iron Heart logo like the current belts are. Eventually I traced it back through the topics and I’m pretty sure it’s this IHB-01, the same as @Giles belt, and just about as old!

Mine hasn’t had quite the wear of Giles’ belt, and is in need of some TLC, but has had pretty regular wear for the past 16 years, and has been my daily belt since finding my way back to raw denim and Iron Heart. And it has plenty of life in it still. I just need to order some quality oil for it asap!
I haven’t got the watch game of many here, but I’m proud of this Carrera Heuer reissue from 1996 that I picked up 10 odd years ago. I’d always liked the Carrera TAGs, but this reissue just struck me as classic and unfussy.

Really dig this shirt, the weather is just right for it now.

In with an XXL and a request for smallest on hand torso measurements!
@branpureza I haven't been to sleep yet! I might not be 100% tomorrow, but I got my 295-IB!
@Graeme both real estate and traffic enforcement in Australia are predatory and ruthless. Hopefully you don't get booted for the sale! And the subsequent rent hike isn't ruinous.
@worn2fade I'm typically a XXL in IH flannels and denim shirts, sometimes close to an XL but I find it's usually a little too small when I do size down due to tightness under the arm pits.
I have this vest in XXL and I do wonder if an XL wouldn't have been better for a slimmer fit, I don't think it would have the same fit issues as a sized down shirt due being a vest. Still get plenty of use from it as is though.
A goal helps, certainly in my powerlifting days having a comp on the horizon helped push the focus. Powerlifting isn't a goal anymore, that kind of training can be detrimental to other less specific movement, but I picked up a lot of training tools there that I continue to use.
These days I'm reliving my youth and getting back into skating. Having the energy to get out there, the fitness to not run out of puff, and the joint health to take impacts are a focus. So, getting my cardio back up and keeping it there is key. Bulgarian split squats are great for knee and leg strength. But there's no event to focus on.
I'll post up here more regularly and share my successes and failures with you all! I want to get back to a 5k run (without walk breaks) - there's my first goal.
I used to weight train 4 days a week, without fail (powerlifting), for around 10 years pre covid. It marked the end of slim fit jeans for me in my initial selvedge/raw journey. Since covid I have really struggled to get back into a regular schedule. Lots of life changes around that time for me that disrupted the way things were, but I still highly value movement and strength training. I lost a lot of muscle, gained fat. I've since managed to shift some of the fat though.
A little over a year ago we bought a home gym that looks exactly the same as the Mirafit above but called "Verve Fitness" here in Australia - must come from the same factory in China. I'm still struggling to get a proper routine going. I start up, go for a few weeks, then it falls of a cliff for one reason or another. I feel bad for a while, then I start up again. Trying not to be too hard on myself, just get back up and do some work.
I know when I'm doing regular walks or runs my cardio fitness is improved and life is easier in so many ways. When my strength is up, I feel physically better and more confident in general. I know the value, and how important it is to a happy life, I just need to find the combination of all the things that works for me.
I love hearing about the success you're all having, especially Gile's deadlift milestones!
I posted my measurements up a little ways, for a size 36 indigo 633.

I've been waiting for these to come back in. Ordered one this morning with a few other small items I've been eyeing off.
It'll be 3am here ... so I'll be eagerly watching it shortly after the fact with a big cup of coffee around 6am. Kind of like how I watch most F1 races, can't watch it live, but need to watch it ASAP (and avoid spoilers)!
I recently picked up a Warehouse 5.5oz Bamboo Henley short sleeve t-shirt, it's light but has some slub too. Very nice T shirt for the summer right now. I've washed it a couple of times either 30c or cold, it's shrunk a little, maybe half a size from the original - I forgot to take pre/post measurements on this one.
@cyclops sorry for delay in getting the measurements. Some of them gave me pause and I wanted to recheck, but the numbers are accurate.

I've worn these 5-6 days a week since late August, 2 washes. I always wear them with a belt, so the waist doesn't get much tension, only a half inch there. I think if they were under more tension the waist would stretch further pretty easily. I have an office job, sitting on my arse a lot - maybe that explains the rear-rise stretch, about an inch. I honestly haven't heard about thighs stretching so much and that surprised me.
@Brian you're in South Australia, right? It's rough down there right now, I hope your AC is up to the task! It was bad enough yesterday here in Brisbane, and we only had to deal with 35*!
Looks like we've got some summer still to go though.
