My first WAYWT here. Last day of a long weekend down in Sydney, in Hyde Park this morning.

It’s finally cool enough that I can start wearing my IH shirts! As long as I stay out of the sun and don’t elevate my heart rate. Even then I probably won’t make it past midday!

I’m dog sitting Bruno for a friend this weekend. My boxer Hobbes passed almost 2 years ago and I’ve missed his company very much. Having Bruno visit is nice, similar but different to Hobbes.

@Aetas loving having him here so much. It’s been a wet weekend, lots of cuddle time on the couch. I’ve got slobber marks on all the clothes I’ve been wearing, but that’s just the love of a boxer and I’ve missed it

I haven’t got the watch game of many here, but I’m proud of this Carrera Heuer reissue from 1996 that I picked up 10 odd years ago. I’d always liked the Carrera TAGs, but this reissue just struck me as classic and unfussy.

My very first Iron Heart piece, bought from Self Edge back in 2008 during my initial raw denim phase, the Self Edge Exclusive IH Super Tan Belt.
I spent some time trying to work out what it actually was, clearly related to the current IHB-10 belt, but mine isn’t even stamped with the Iron Heart logo like the current belts are. Eventually I traced it back through the topics and I’m pretty sure it’s this IHB-01, the same as @Giles belt, and just about as old!

Mine hasn’t had quite the wear of Giles’ belt, and is in need of some TLC, but has had pretty regular wear for the past 16 years, and has been my daily belt since finding my way back to raw denim and Iron Heart. And it has plenty of life in it still. I just need to order some quality oil for it asap!
Really dig this shirt, the weather is just right for it now.

My shirt arrived yesterday, it’s my first IH piece and like many I was stressing a little on sizing, I went with the XXL I think I nailed it thanks to the measurements provided here, Corelection, and other retailers.
With this purchase and sizing going well I’ll feel much more confident for more pieces in future.
No fit pics yet, it’s been 30*c+ here and humidity around 80%+, not heavy flannel weather

In with an XXL and a request for smallest on hand torso measurements!
I'm looking forward to seeing who wins the Driver's this year, it's becoming a red-hot proper competition. I want Oscar to win, it's my patriotic allegiance. I'd be happy if Lando won, because he's been in the fight the whole time and is a great driver. And if Max wins then it proves just how excellent he is to come back so strongly late in the season.
As for the race today, it was a bit of a letdown after the excitement of the Sprint race.
It's a slow burn game for sure, if you're used to fast paced action then RDR2 will be a shock. It's great story telling and immersive, but you need to slow yourself right down. I've been ignoring the main story, wandering about hunting and collecting the collectables. The biggest problem for me is finding a couple of hours to sit down to play without interruption, it's not a quick 30minute session game.
@WhiskeySandwich good to hear Ghost of Yotei holds up, I enjoyed Tushima. I think that might have to be my next game.
These days not many new games catch my attention, I've been replaying old games one after another. I recently saw Red Dead Redemption 1 was ported and available on the PS store, so played that through again after 8 years or so. Which naturally led me to starting a new play through of RDR2, which is underway.
@ironharry There's a few of us Aussies on here, but not too many. I'm up in Brisbane. Welcome!
@tody that must stand out, you're in Cologne, Germany, right?
@WhiskeySandwich I think it just came down to Monza being a fast track, McLaren lost their aero and tyre preservation advantage. I think we'll see a return to regular McLaren 1-2 going forward.
As an Aussie, I'm pumped for Oscar leading the championship, but I still want to see them race.
Azerbaijan next, my favourite circuit, if I could go to a race in person, this would be my pick - I don't know why, but I just click with it.
I'm wearing mine today. I've been wearing it 4-5 days a week since it dropped. No washes yet - it's winter here so it's not smelling despite the wear. Starting to get a few pops of colour around the cuffs, but still miles to go.
It's softened, but it's not soft. Still pretty hefty. I think it'll take some more time and a couple of washes to really break in.
@meatmarketdenim1 happy birthday! Going for a skate is a good way to break in those 633s!
@Walery-Smirnoff how about Australian English? I'm not sure if you've heard much of that, apart from some actors in otherwise American productions?
We abbreviate on a whole new level, there isn't a word in the language we won't shorten to 2 syllables. And if it's one syllable, we'll extend it!
I've completed my hot soak and wash, with a line dry. Measurements below.
(I measure both "traditional" and IHUK waist styles, and the various thigh measurements that go around, so they can better/easier be compared to the various methods different retailers use.)
As received, SExIH25 633 Indigo Tag Size 36
Waist (IH): 18.25"
Waist (SE): 18"
Front Rise: 12.5"
Rear Rise: 16"
Thigh (at crotch): 13.5"
Thigh 1": 13.25
Thigh 2": 13
Knee (13"): 9.75
Hem: 8.5
Inseam: 36.4
Post hot soak and wash (40C):
Waist (IH): 18.1" (-0.15)
Waist (SE): 17.9" (-0.1)
Front Rise: 12.2" (-0.3)
Rear Rise: 16" (no change)
Thigh (at crotch): 13.1" (-0.4)
Thigh 1": 13" (-0.25)
Thigh 2": 12.5 (-0.5)
Knee (13"): 9.5 (-0.25)
Hem: 8.3 (-0.2)
Inseam: 35.75 (-0.65)
Some change, but modest, which is what you'd expect from a pre-washed garment. I was hoping for a little more from the waist. I'm surprised by the changes at the thigh the most, I measured twice to confirm. It'll be interesting to see how the jeans stretch over a few months of initial wear.
