@bonzo40 Just wait for Ironheart’s updated sizing info. My guess is Monday. Also keep in mind Duck is not like denim in that it won’t stretch near as much.

sizing is tricky indeed, mine ended up an overshirt / jacket (my fault with getting wrong size a while back). Sleeves are traditionally a bit longer than usual (at least on mine) but all good. Sometimes we just acquire enough (too much) clothing and everything has it's perfect place and function.

Does this shirt fit more like the Western / CPO (I wear a medium), which I find to be a slimmer fit, or like the workshirt (I usually wear a small)? Thanks guys!

Ok so what’s everyone thinking on sizing here based on the new chart? If I want to wear this as a shirt and not an overshirt, do I go with my western UHF size or size down?

@samo hard to tell without knowing your measurements. I would get your best fitting shirt and measure it using the Iron Heart method. Then once you know your target dims, choose the size which lines up with them the best

Can only speak for myself, but I’m between the XXXL (same measurements as my collab CPO — which is perfect over a t shirt, if a bit tight on the arms, and just big enough to layer comfortably over a thinner long sleeve) and the XXXXL, where I prefer the chest measurement but am unsure about the longer length.

Tough call! I’m in coastal Southern California and probably won’t be wanting to layer over a flannel — so I’ll probably stick with XXXL (also my size in the watermelon!). Goal is to use this for outdoorsy work à la @Denimhead-0

(also - this is my first post! shoutout to the community here. the info has been crucial in finding a few pieces (aforementioned UHF and the CPO, along with a 1955 14oz that fits me better than anything I’ve ever worn) that are just treasures of my wardrobe and hopefully the stuff my young kids will remember me wearing when they think of me and their childhood 🙂

SEXIH CPO Indigo XXXL = Perfect fit over a tee. Could have a bit more room in the forearms.
IHSH-293-OD XXXXL = Great cozy fit. Sleeves a tad bit too long. Perfect over a tee for me too.
I have been looking at the compare tool all evening and can't decide between XXXL and XXXXL.

The length on this thing + the fact that there is no hem curl worries me that it's gonna be friggin long, although it should just be half an inch more than the 293. Then again I did scroll up a lot and found that someone managed to shrink the length on this with a really hot wash.
And again no experience with duck fabric yet, so I might be leaning towards XXXXL just to safe and then just rock the long length or throw it into the washing machine hoping to shave off an inch in length etc.

@Northman In my experience, the duck fabric is pretty robust and just doesn't shrink much if at all. If you ask the crew they'll be happy to find the shortest length available in your size

Yep, we’re in the exact same boat! I’m 6’2” 215lbs and want this to be a more structured and streamlined version (ie internal pockets rather than external) of a chore coat - so I think I’ll just deal with the longer length. Mobility wins with this one!
