@endo The dude abides

In stark contrast to yesterday, today we visited the Royal Danish Theatre to see a ballet set to the music of Bach's "The Art of Fugue".

Ballet and Bach may sound strange, but it was very beautiful.
(Photos were not allowed during the performance, so here are some from the internet.)

Interestingly, the choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, a Ukrainian dancer who was very successful at the Bolshoi Theatre, is now being completely dropped there since he spoke out openly against the war. His choreographies will continue to be staged im Moscow, but his name will not be mentioned. It's wonderful to see that he's successful in Copenhagen.

And the Danish King & Queen were also there tonight.

@endo Very nice, thank you.

@endo to my shame I have to admit that after almost 20 years in Copenhagen I have never been in that building! I literally see the entrance from my office window across Kongens Nytorv!
-
@Tobi if you like Bach then go and see it. I‘m not into ballett but it was a wonderful experience. And the building - also the interior - is awesome.
edit: it was a very short visit to this beautiful city and focussed on my son. Next time we‘ll have a beer together. Here or somewhere else.

@endo give me a shout anytime!
