Finished Sandman (one of my all time fav comics). More controversies aside, enjoyed the adaptation. Wish Preacher had the same treatment when it was turned into a tv series. Thought it was decent in places but found it lost its way.

Sat here a little anxious about the Buffy revival. When the show ended, the seasons continued as a comic, with Joss Whedon's (more controversy) involvement. Guessing they're about to bin the canon for something new. Bit difficult to bring back certain characters too considering vampires dont age.

Elsewhere, Alien Earth continues to marvel. And Dexter Resurrection has been hugely entertaining.

Anyone else watching and have thoughts on "Black Rabbit" with Jude Law and Jason Bateman?

My wife and I are watching it and nearly have given up 4 episodes in. Allie especially dislikes shows that have no "release". It's just one bad thing happening after another. There's no one to root for, just a shit ton of moody green colored (lighting comment) mishaps on repeat.

Gomorrha is absolute cinema. Early seasons especially. The type of show where no character is 'safe' from being killed off. If you watch this, make sure to watch The Immortal (inbetween seasons 4 and 5).

Have been considering re-watching this. However, I'm also due a Sopranos rewatch (which is basically a yearly thing).

Designed to be that way, and definitely an acquired taste. Like Ozark and Bloodline. Just levels of intensifying unease with everyone being a baddie.

Me and my wife enjoyed it. Def a lot of heavy sad stuff for Jason batemens character. some lag set up episodes around 4-5 but it picks up and all ties in at the end. Why the brothers how they are etc? don’t wanna give away too much risk a spoiler. But would recommend finishing it for sure.

Been really enjoying HBOs new show Task, (cops, motorcycle gang, stick up dudes in rural PA) stoked for the new episode tonight!

Been watching “Detroiters” on Netflix. Really funny. Probably the most coherent Tim Robinson joint I’ve ever seen. Sam Robinson is excellent in the show as well.
