The 14oz. broken twill is amazing, but I would still love to see a full-on heavyweight broken twill between 21-25 ounces. Would be an instant purchase for me.

Another idea maybe 8-10oz. denim/chambrai shirt in Oxford cut?

Here here. Can use the 283 as the model just make it a little longer in the body

2 questions/suggestions. Have you ever produced Indigo dyed wool? and have you ever made whipcord heavier than 12 oz? both seem interesting.

Black, but it looks grey, because of how a chambray is woven:

Hi Giles! You are correct about the black mock twist! It is like a color shape shifter! I get comments on all three for handsome and unique they are. They also just have a unique hand feel to the fabric, now if only there was a blue one…..:)

@moskiitto Yeah, I've seen that. They're making a really nice Type 2-ish jacket out of that fabric too which is tempting. But I would prefer IH and I really like the 19L fabric

I'd love to see more slim fit shirts that are wide enough in the shoulders and chest, but stay slim in the waist and don't flare back out at the opening. That flare is my pet peeve, and it bothers me every time I put on my Wabash. Fingers crossed for shirt tailoring service from IH one day 🤞

@indigo_fades Tailoring shirts is not something that will be happening from Iron heart. The question has been brought up before and the answer has always been the same.

There are many competent tailors out there who would be able to help you when and as needed.

@goosehd Unfortunately, none within more than an hours drive from where I live 😔 Lots of wedding dress alteration shops, and not a single one that will do a flat felled seam, chain stitch, or even a proper bar tack. Maybe Railcar will offer shirt alterations someday...

If you decide to run more double fronts like the 822’s, I think the 18oz Vintage would be an awesome denim to use. Would make some really interesting fades.

I love my ihsh-381-olv and would really like to see more done with this 9oz serge fabric. It's perfect for easy wearing shirts. Drapes amazingly, is an ideal year-round weight and develops so much character with wear and washes. It'd be awesome to see more CPOs/westerns/works done with this in a variety of colors. The way this gets a muted fade showing all the crosshatching is fantastic, I really dig all of the sulfur-dyed pieces and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed they're kinda phasing out.
