Day three; I suppose they technically got their first soak today. Start as you mean to go on I guess…

@Gammaman Did you try giving them an actual wash? Occasionally I've found the agitation involved in a wash cycle to give a bit of extra shrinkage compared to just soaking, even if soaked multiple times. (Especially with raw, non-sanforized jeans). Never tried the UHRs myself though.

I will also say that I've seen pairs here over the years that I thought initially looked clearly too big, but after some wear they've really molded to the person's body and end up looking great in short time.

I think these 666 14ibs will be stubborn faders, so I plan to experiment and wash/dry once a week.

Thanks. Yes after the second soak I put them through a machine the jeans cycle with no soap. I’m not familiar with this denim either all know it’s really warm.

One week and these slubby jeans became so comfortable! No pain in comparison to the first weeks with the 25oz beast.

I ended putting these through a 90 degree hot wash with no soap to get the max shrinkage I could out of them. No measurements because I’m lazy and it reminds me of work.
I’m quite pleased with the results.

@Gammaman Wow very hot wash, results look great. Have been also thinking of trying. Did you put other stuff as well at the same time to prevent marbling? Did you feel denim also got softer due to such a hot wash?

Not the best image. Will be trying to go climbing in my Y5 pair at least once a week. Kinda into it too, because it’s saving my knees from getting scraped. Gonna keep it up! Really enjoying this so far, and love seeing all the updates here and from the II instagram page.
