Gang, I have seen the light. Day 1 in the 634s 21oz. I have never felt a better feeling denim.

This is the best first post I could think to make for this thread. I’m having myself a great day! Picked up my first two pairs today. The guys at the Osaka store are incredibly nice, and so helpful.

The nickname “Black Armor” for the 9634 is legit. Just walked the dog out in the mid 30s(F) and the wind was not getting through this denim.

Long time listener. First time caller. First wear of one of my Japan pick ups.

21oz 9634z - they aren’t kidding when they call this “black armor”. Forgive the work from home slippers. lol.

Still warm t-shirt weather in NC, despite what the foliage says. Loving these 634s even more every day.

Got the black armor 9364z on in prep for this pending “snow storm” that is headed our way in NC.

Currently two sessions in with Steve Zimonvan (Remember Me Tattoo) on my back. So stoked with how it’s looking.

Figured this 1994 unissued Romanian fleck field shirt would pair well with the 9634. Unfortunately, it’s almost too warm here to wear it today.

@jonatahncoll so, I was in the same boat when I went to Japan. I tend to also over think and over analyze purchases. What I found that helped was going to the blog pages for the Japan stores to watch and get an idea of what was in the shops. I ultimately ended up in the Osaka store, and offerings are definitely limited in means of cuts, primarily the 634. The folks in that shop were incredible and made the experience so great. Just picked up a pair of these from the gang over at Guilty Party in Atlanta, GA. Putting them in ice until the Indigo Invitational Y6, though. Promised a friend I’d run it back again this year with him. Stoked to see how these will evolve over the year.

Absolutely love the fit. This denim feels incredible, too.

@Bridger oh fully. I just thought it was so funny he was announcing exactly which balcony was his on live tv.

@Bridger I remember them doing the parade this year and Max is on camera pointing out to one of the younger drivers exactly which apartment was his. lol

@denim-dawg I’ve caught the bug for sure. Might be a different one to go with, but I’m thinking I’m gonna pull the trigger on the 14oz 1955 Overdyed. I’ve always wanted some Overdyed Iron Hearts, and this seems like the best reason.

Slow to get back to the thread, huge congrats to everyone here! You all had some killer pairs. This was my first year, and I had no idea what to expect, and it was a blast. I loved seeing the progress.

My Wrangler 13MWZs got put to the test and it has inspired me to pick up one of the big guns and run it back for IIY6! Stoked to join along with you all next season.
