Indigo Invitational Y5

Day 1 baby

I’m entering for the first time!
I was going to try the Samurai 19oz boot cut which I thought would be a bold move but after trying them on, well they are a bit tight up top!
Probably good for a spin around town here and there but not nearly every single day of the year
So I sent them back and opted to go with the Mister Freedom Speedway in the NOS black painted denim. These are interesting, a 12oz indigo/white non selvedge denim painted black on the front side only so not an all the way overdye. They should turn towards dark blue pretty quick and we will see from there. I know the heavier weights tend to have more pronounced fades but these should be fun to wear all year and plan my wardrobe around. I might get some steve mcqueen esque snuff suede chukka boots when they are a little lighter, who knows. -
Day one for me in my Iron Heart 777-XHSiB 25oz. Let’s see how this goes.

@Mister_Brue Thank you! I have high hopes for this denim.

Day three; I suppose they technically got their first soak today. Start as you mean to go on I guess…
Cool to see some new faces and interesting jeans and fabrics this time around.
-
@Gammaman Did you try giving them an actual wash? Occasionally I've found the agitation involved in a wash cycle to give a bit of extra shrinkage compared to just soaking, even if soaked multiple times. (Especially with raw, non-sanforized jeans). Never tried the UHRs myself though.
I will also say that I've seen pairs here over the years that I thought initially looked clearly too big, but after some wear they've really molded to the person's body and end up looking great in short time.
Best of luck, you've posted a lot of great pieces here over the years.

I think these 666 14ibs will be stubborn faders, so I plan to experiment and wash/dry once a week.

@Mister_Brue these are going to be epic

@JunkPants
Thanks. Yes after the second soak I put them through a machine the jeans cycle with no soap. I’m not familiar with this denim either all know it’s really warm. -
Any pic on a bike is a good pic imho. Love the scenery.
