      @flannel-slut I love Matty Mattheson, and this sandwich looks lovely. Since it has anchovies in the relish, I think it belongs here in unpopular opinions. 🙂 I'm going to try that relish someday. I'm a sucker for anything with capers. The anchovies and olives are a nice touch, but the parsley brings it all together!

        @sabergirl What if the anchovies don't come in a can? I sometimes get marinated white anchovies in the refrigerated section that are bright and acidic. They're fantastic and nothing like your typical salty anchovies.

          I’m just not into them. I’ve tried to like smelts and anchovy and the whole gamut. Not really a big seafood person in general 🤷

              @Matt In general, I agree. Most are obnoxious. Anthony Bourdain and Matty Matheson are a couple of exceptions for me. And Jose Andrès because he's such a good human.

                    @Matt Same. He's not perfect. I read his first book Kitchen Confidential when it first came out because there were copies floating around restaurant kitchens all over the place, and it was all anyone was talking about. It was a life-changing book, and impacted me a great deal. I'll forever be a Bourdain fan, flaws and all.

                      I also keep a tube of anchovy paste in my fridge. It's great for adding a little umami to a dish, or making a quick Caesar dressing. Fun fact: Caesar Salad is Mexican food.

                              I was kind of making a joke, but I’d be lying if I said I haven’t seen more than a few episodes of “Triple D”, because I actually do prefer drive ins, diners and dives.

                                    We have some GF collab flavored seltzer that I love giving to people so I can take them to Flavor Town.

                                    I actually don’t mind his shenanigans as much because he isn’t usually up in your face with all that Yes Chef! nonsense.

                                          I gotta say, within the context of DDD it’s hard not to like what GF Is doing there. He demonstrates knowledge of and enthusiasm for food, respect for the restaurateurs and chefs, and desire to help them succeed. I had a low opinion of him until I watched a few episodes and now it’s staple background content in our house.

                                            I am a sucker for binging a cooking competition but disliking these celebrity chefs is a very sensible take. Alex Guarnaschelli however 😍
