IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

@Mizmazzle thanks man. Mine fits pretty well, but I wouldn't mind just a bit more shrink, so this gives me hope. The streaks annoyed me at first but they disappeared as it started to fade. Did you have a reason or timeline for when you washed, or just when it felt dirty?
I've always just washed my jeans when they seemed dirty, and I don't get as contrast as fades as a result. Part of the many reasons I only wear ironheart now is because their denim handles frequent washing well.
-
@Johnnyutah247 I wore my lefty everyday for the first year I had it. Hiking, to work, at home chilling. So I washed it once it seemed like it needed it.

Raw, hot medium spin, hot high spin measurements below in a 3X. Took the same size as the Lod of this batch and they came in almost identical post wash. Extremely happy with the fit! Thanks to the IHUK team for doing the soak test as this helped in deciding my size. Forgot to measure following the initial hour hot soak.

Love this jacket! Been wearing as much as possible ever since I got it (June 14th) - and when the light hits it... just had to take a few snaps

@Larkens amazing first fades!! I am close to 100 days with my 555s-19L and find some new spots like every time I wear them (what means pretty much every day haha)
-
@FlavourFade it’s amazing fabric. Would be great to someday have a full lefty suit

"Lefty vesty" has a nice ring to it?

Does anybody wear the jacket without presoak/prewash?
That's what I'm thinking about -
@Yoprst but if you do that, your fades will shift with first wash eventually. I would suggest to soak before wear and get the shrinkage out
-
-
@FlavourFade I consider that fade shift is hugely exaggerated concern - your raw denim jacket/jeans must shrink twofold to make fade shift noticable. Nevertheless, appreciate your opinion.
-
@Yoprst I wore without presoak/prewash and was happy with the results.
-
@Yoprst I had a good amount of fade shift on an (I believe) RGT 15oz jeans and it bothered me. Maybe it's not as noticeable on a jacket, but the very high contrast of the lefty denim makes me believe it would be something to be aware of. Anyway if going raw is your thing, do it!!
-
@FlavourFade Actually I've not decided yet, just thinking abt it. On the jacket fade shift should be not as brutal as on jeans due to the obvious difference in the nature of fade origin jacket vs jeans - honeycombs may shift but it only can be seen at the back of the sleeves by elbow marks if they are noticeable, the pockets, the collar etc. will remain the same. Jeans is another story - knees, whiskers fade shift will be quite noticeable

Opinions on this fit on me?
I have yet to soak it, trying to get opinions before I void the return ability.
