Favorite new flannel (sorry IH) no wash or soak yet, but love the double fabrics on shoulders, and elbows down to cuffs. Great design, insane fabric.

I did not get one, but I will say the Ship John one does look a little more interesting with the change of direction on the pockets and the shoulders.

Yeah I definitely think it’s a lot nicer than the RGT version but maybe I’m biased. This really is a great shirt

I’m interested in trying something from Ship John and was looking at denim and sashiko Townes shirts that they posted will be releasing soon.
Just general question on how people like the shirts? Any notable differences compared to Japanese brands? And is there any general consensus on sizing compared to IH?

Ship John’s recent little tease on their instagram of the upcoming Kristofferson jackets comeback. Looks like a Black n white filter been added to keep stuff interesting and unknown.
From the pictures something in my guts say the jacket and lining is a different color.What do you guys think? Anyone excited about this to be teased more?🫣

@Darth-fader yeah, and it’s great new for me haha! Been dreaming about the OG version ever since the first release. So hoping I will be able this time. Missed out on the past two releases.. so maybe third times a charm

@natefreezy my experience is that SJ shirts is generally longer then most IH.
By now I can be a bit biased maybe but every ship John product I own have been plain amazing for me! So I can easily see myself owning a regular denim Townes shirt someday too!🫶 -
@natefreezy most fabric is from Japan, handpicked top tier, cut a sewn here. The sashiko is hands down the best shirt I have ever owned (league of its own type). The flannel is another personal fav.
Smaller shop, but big quality and design. Only problem is very small runs that sell out within minutes. -
@natefreezy The main thing with their shirts is that the cut is typically on the more slim side and have a longer body. The fabrics are excellent and build quality is top-tier, but keep in mind that if you have a shorter torso they may end up a little longer than you're used to.

Am gonna pass through Portland soon, does Ship John have a decent instore stock? I might have to make a trip out there. And open to any other good recommendations for cool stores around Portland (other than Self Edge of course).

@hgering27 Aha! That’s the shirt Marc Maron is wearing in his latest HBO standup show. Been wondering since I watched it a few days ago. Makes sense because he’s from Portland. Fantastic looking on you!
