RE: Y'2 Leathers….
inspired by @pechelman and his amazing new jacket, I decided I definitely needed something cherry as well, so managed to track down this one - I love the colour, a deep, dark maroon/purple/red, maybe a little shinier than I am used too, but think it will age nicely!

RE: Y'2 Leathers….
i recently bought the IB-141 new, and also picked up an EB-140 second hand (although it was practically new) and i absolutely love the pair of them.
Both size 40, and i am usually a large in most iron heart shirts and jackets.I especially find the colour of both jackets really beautiful, the green one has some real depth to it that is hard to see in photos.
The Eb 140 is also a bit thicker/heavier than the IB141, so is better if its a bit colder outside with the indigo more of a lighter, everyday jacket -
RE: Y'2 Leathers….
ordered this at the end of last year from 'Black Bear Brand' and it has just turned up - it is one of their hand dyed versions of the Y2 N1

Quick update on my Y2/shop Vancouver chore jacket -
I have been wearing this thing a lot more recently......when I first got it, it felt slightly too big and I thought I had messed up with the sizing - but as Tj says in his videos, this jacket shrinks down to shape around your body, so it now feels great.
I was also a little unsure I could pull off a red leather jacket.....I loved the look of it, but felt it might be a bit too much for me. But I have to say, the colour and look of the leather has really grown on me over time. I thought it might be too bright, but as the base colour is camel (with the red on top) the colour is a lot deeper/rich than a bright red - and it is more of a sort of 'tomato' colour than London bus, which I love.....and little signs of the camel are already starting to show in some areas.
I have found the overall design just really works too - it has seven pockets in total (the hidden side hand warmer pockets are really great) and the bi swing back just gives more freedom of movement.....it is just a very comfortable jacket to wear.
Also I love the way it has a bit of a retro biker jacket look with the heavy zipper and bi swing back, but also (to me) has a bit of a retro 70s leather jacket thing going on at the same time (especially because of the uneven colour)......so it sort of falls somewhere between the two and I just love it more everytime I wear it.So anyway - I just wanted to say this one has probably become my favourite of all my leather jackets - it's very practical, comfortable to wear, but also has a lot of mojo to it too!

RE: Y'2 Leathers….
@BalticBob I messed up on the sizing so it was a little too tight for me - I have since learnt my 'true' size

RE: Y'2 Leathers….
@BalticBob I had one of those and would say it is perfect for what you are looking for - it looked great and was definitely a bit lighter than a lot of their other offerings but still warm

Y2 IB-140 (size 40)
£825this one has had a bit of wear (a few months on and off), so has some started to patina a little in areas and feels nice and soft. It is a fantastic jacket and the photos don't really do it justice, the colour is just perfect.
Chest - 21.5" (pit to pit)
Shoulder - 18" (straight across)
length - 24.5"
Sleeve - 25"
Y2 KB-140 (size 40)
£825same as above, this one has had a few months wear on and off so has started to show signs of wear/patina here and there - it is more noticeable with the kakshibu leather (which is a thing of beauty) so has little scars and marks here and there......but the leather is nice and soft and has started to darken from the original cream colour.
Chest -21" (pit to pit)
Shoulder - 17.5" (straight across)
Length - 25"
Sleeve - 25"
Y2 TB-139 (size 38)
£625this is a fantastic rough out type 3. This one has only really been worn once so is pretty much as good as new.
Chest - 21.25" (pit to pit)
Shoulder - 18" (straight across)
Sleeve - 25"
Lenght - 24.25"

RE: Y'2 Leathers….
@derek111 looks fantastic!…..and size wise they start off a little oversized, but shrink down to fit pretty quickly. I thought mine was too big at first, but now it’s spot on
-
RE: Ship John
congratulations to everyone that managed to get one, looking forward to seeing the fits - but I think i've officially given up with Ship John now, as try as I might, I have just never been able to actually purchase anything!
-
RE: Ship John
it sold out in about 5 seconds......added it to cart literally the second it became available, and by the time I clicked purchase (within seconds) it had already gone.....

RE: Ship John
@Brock thanks for that it's a big help - so, fingers crossed trying to snag one of these later on I suppose........feels like going unicorn hunting
