@maddog Yes but I snatched a Type 3 so I will still manage to enjoy the fabric with that!
-
@fuzzybunnies saw the Type 3 in the other thread- looks great! Enjoy!
-
@Oaktavia And a well worn chore jacket?
-
@Mister_Brue it's an Oni secret denim
-
@Oaktavia those fades are popping already! Only worn around the house??? That’s wild.
-
@caithangkhanh no fades yet, must be the sunlight causing different colors to pop. It is still quite <<shiny>>.
-
@Alex I'm glad they chose the latter.
-
Such as sick shirt, really happy with this purchase.

I went to SELA on the day of the event to pick up a pair of the OD301. I made a comment to the staff about how the CPOs sold out in minutes online and I was bummed they didn't seem to have any left on the table (it was maybe around 1pm). The staff pointed me to the very last OD CPO, which happened to be a large. The denim was so substantial, I walked right past it thinking it was the type3.
I just picked up my first CPO just 2 weeks prior (422 Duck), so I wasn't exactly in need of another. I'm also not one to wear denim on denim, whereas I like the contrast of the brown Duck. But man, once I had that thing in hand, you just can't pass it up. It is hefty. The OD shade is inky; it really reminds me of a deeply saturated drawing with a Bic pen (odd reference, I know). Then when you factor in the slub, it really made the 555-21 I was wearing feel a bit boring by comparison.
I normally wear a medium, and won't really be layering much here in SoCal. Although this was a large (and the very last one), the fit is great, so I can agree with those saying they sized up on this one. I won't be wearing them together, but I guess I am now the proud owner of my first Canadian Tuxedo!

@RandomlyHunting I’ve always called the OD Tux the “blackout” I think it’s pretty easy to pull off. You just need the duck bottoms now. You can alternate

So it came in the mail today. First I have to say that all the hyperbole surrounding this shacket dosen't actually to do it justice. Seriously.
First, we'll start off with measurements. I know that the size charts are more of a guide and not exactly specific to the measurements you end up getting..
In my case though, it's precisely what I got. Amazing! The Denim it's self has an awesome raised texture and feel to it. More dense and heavier than I expected. Definitely more on the jacket end as opposed to the shirt side of a "Shacket". As others have noted the OD comes across quite a bit lighter than the standard stuff. Here's the 33-OD for comparison.
I was expecting this piece to be very similar to the 33 but it's a completely different beast. I've actually never had or even seen denim like this which is cool!
Couldn't be happier with the fit! Somehow feels more substantial than my 21oz 526PJ but comes across looking much more svelte than that jacket. This is awesome stuff and if my shit eating grin didn't already give it away, I'm over the moon here.
Oh and for those of you that have ordered one of these, don't forget to fully check the box. You wouldn't want to accidentally throw one of these away.
Congrats to @kiya and Ironheart on a stunning colab! My feeling is this CPO will become legendary.

@Chibs Those measurements are great. I got a large too and the Shoulder to shoulder is 18.5" and the sleeves are 25.5"
-
@Desperado213 There’s a good chance I got the actual one they measured for the size chart.

This is exactly what some of the colors look like. I said this same thing on Saturday to my buddy. Looks like the ink from a ballpoint pen.

@SourPower no doubt, that would have been sweet!

@caithangkhanh I just received mine...the arms are quite tight, im sure this has something to do with easy creasing.
