IH-526J-DD - Double Duck Type III Jacket
-
It never happen to my pants @Oaktavia but better be safe than sorry.i got zero marbling.
-
Also not sure if that matters but I didn't realize they were raw so I wore them for about 3 months before the 1st wash. Nothing shifted a bit of shrinkage but every pair I own gets a bit tighter after a wash, maybe lost 1 inch in inseam but no drama .
-
Shifting fades due to shrinkage it basically not a thing with anything we make, the amount of shrinkage is so small (as a percentage) that it makes TSROFA difference. I see people obsessing about it, but it really is not a thing.....What contributes more to shifting fades, is not having the creases and fold lines imprinted into the memory of the denim before you wash (especially the first time)......Vintage fades lack contrast in part, because the whiskers and honeycombs move every time the jeans are washed.

Yeah, it's something that Mike wrote a little about on here. I'm more fixated on a hot soak to help shrink the fabric down close to a 42 with the 44 I have on the way. I have more 44s in my closet than the former, but oftentimes I find myself in between sizes on the charts. Either way, I'm stoked to get this jacket in my hands (hopefully) today.

The DD has landed! Sleeves are a bit long and I could lose a little bit all over. It's hot soaking now in my tub. I'll hang it dry and wear it damp to work tomorrow.
This jacket is insanely awesome. Just what I had imagined it to be. It's damn perfect. I'll be wearing this for the foreseeable future.

Yeap, Yeap, looking solid.

OUTSTANDING

@Oaktavia amazing my man. The sleeves could come up and in a bit but overall a great fit. I love the contrast stitching and the flat indigo color. There’s no one better to fade this grail beauty

It’s fucking perfect!
-
@sabergirl all my attention is on this double duck!
-
@Oaktavia fit in the body looks great, I’d try cuffing the sleeves on this one, and with the stiffness of this fabric they may look permanently wonderful in that position. Congrats!!
-
@Oaktavia amazing! Will check the satellite imagery for indigo stains over the Appalachian region in the coming weeks!
-
@Oaktavia
what a great catch mate !!
very excited what you will do with it -
X post!
Fit is perfect, just how I wanted a Type 3 to sit. The arm creases are insane.
I will take proper outdoor photos when I'm home if it's not raining still.
Edit: Oh, and I wore this to bed last night while it was still damp. Fortunately for me, the timing was perfect, as my wife is finishing up a job in Texas at the mo'. It was gnarly sleeping in it, but I'm so obsessed with this jacket that it was a gnarly kind of pleasure.

Awesome fit dude !!! You got soooo many creases from these sleeves, it was way too long, and now way too perfect ^^
