@Matt as our resident ugly shoe connoisseur, what's your option on these new 'Speed Loafers' by Hoka?

I won't comment on the styling, but isn't the name "Speed Loafer" a bit of an oxymoron...

Looks like denim truly is the fabric of our salvation.

@krebsy you're not wrong, as paradoxical as the shoe itself..

@T4920 love my Clifton Hokas for long distance runs or better yet, my 40 year old joints love Hoka for long distance runs. However, I wear these only for running as I think most of their lineup to be fugly… seeing them styled as a loafer almost seems like a joke. With that said, I’m sure Matt is only contemplating which size to go with.

I wash all the time. My pimped shirts and jackets have been going through the washer for years. But I don't tumble dry anything, but I see no reason why it should be an issue. It is a mechanical bond that won't worry about washing or drying.

I’d wash inside out though. The silver could pick up some dings in the wash I’d think. It will be very shiny though.

                        Hi,

I'm hopeful this is the best place to post this question as it's my first and I don't want to get it wrong out the gate.

I recently picked up my first IH shirt - Iron Heart IHSH-235-OLV 13oz Military Serge Western Shirt - Olive Drab Green"

I found that while I loved it, the armpit holes came pretty high and tight into my armpit. That it made it a little uncomfortable and quickly made me sweat. A large fit me perfect in every other aspect.

Is there a general rule among IH shirts that some are cut this way and others not?

I loved the fabric and really want to explore other IH options like the IHSH-292-IND but i'm wondering if the western cut just isn't for me.

@chopcity223 I moved your question here, thanks for joining and your question.

Western shirts are cut slightly slimmer in the body than work shirts, which may explain what you're describing in the armpit area. Work shirts are designed to be a bit more forgiving, and to work in, so you may find this eases your concern. CPO shirts (like the IHSH-292-IND) are also cut slighty larger than western shirts as they are designed to be worn as over shirts, but I would suggest you try a work shirt first

This is the work shirt version of the shirt you have, for what its worth:

                                Iron Heart 888 or 777

Hello to you all, I have purchased my first Iron Heart jeans in the 666. However measuring 8.5 on the leg inner it seems like a boot cut, compared to my normal jeans. I was wondering if I should go for the 777 or 888, ideally I would like a 7 inch inner leg seam. My preference would be high rise with a 7inch leg. Perhaps as a 51 year old 36w the slimmer style is not the way forward? Any suggestions

@craig11 I have moved your question to here.

Do you currently have a pair of jeans that fit you well and the way you want? If so, watch this video on how Ironheart measures their jeans: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/post/5619 and it will give us a much better chance of finding a pair that will work for you.

Just take a look at a few of the measurement charts (there is on on every product page under "Size Guide". But, I'm guessing you mean you want a 7" hem, in which case we have nothing remotely that slim. As a point of reference the 888 and 555 have high rise 777 low.

                                        @RobeOfTheMagi all of them?

17oz duck is a beast as you say, but I am yet to find a fabric that we make that I have deemed "soft" or non-durable.

Any of our denims will take a serious beating to be compromised. Our 12oz wabash, whilst objectively lighter than XHS denim, is an absolute tank. The 12oz whipcord is another example of a fabric that I would class as highly durable despite not being super tough in hand

The devil is in the detail..
