@akohut I have both and they fit very similar. As Graham said, the measurements are key to finding a pair of 888's that fit you like the Wrangler 13mwz. Across all the IH cuts, the 888 are the closest.

PS...don't go by tag size. They are dramatically different. For example, I generally wear 35 or 36 in IH-888 and 33 in Wranglers 13mwz.

Personal experience, 936DEN is closer to the 888. It happens to be my favorite wrangler cut. I own the 13MWZ and find it to be a cut all it’s own. Liberal in the rise, thigh, knee and leg opening.
I usually wear the 936 in the summertime, but replaced them with 888 142.
As mentioned - re: tag size, throw all preconceived notions out the window. Go by measurements only. Ideally compared to a jean you currently own and like to wear.
888 is such a versatile, smart and comfortable cut. I was late to the game on them. Major regrats. -

@jpvisual This was the latest update from 14 days ago. It doesn’t look like IHUK has an indication when they are coming in from Japan. When they do, they will update this thread.

@Go-For-Chill It seems like it would be simple to say we will have x product on x date, but it isn’t.
There is only so much capacity to make denim and IH is really good at keeping the demand high. The issue with that is only certain looms can make particular weights and all of the time has to be scheduled. If something is needed more quickly, then other items may get bumped or face long queues in that wait for the loom time.
Then you have the sewing that needs to be done and scheduled as well. IH has a lot of products to offer and I feel like we are all grateful for that, but it also means that for some items we learn to wait.
It’s not a bad thing, but there is a learning curve in that process.

No, all other 21oz recently restocked, so will be further away than this cut.

@Graham Huge! Do retailers typically receive these at the same time as you guys if they carry the cut or do you receive them and then ship from the UK onwards to retailers?

Everything is fulfilled from IHUK so the delivery will arrive today from Japan, we will then divvy out and ship them all to retailers and the release date that we post here will be a blanket release date for all the retailers too so it gives them a chance to receive them and we all start selling them at the same time.

@Graham Amazing thanks for the info and apologies as I'm sure you've answered this across the forums hundreds of times. I'm just new to the process and been patiently waiting for this drop to try them out in London since November

Just got my OD's of this cut in the mail yesterday and first day wearing them. SO SOFT!
I will say this cut compared to the 633 requires thinking about your waist measurements a little different, since these sit so high. They hit a smaller part of the waist. I was really nervous with the size 31', which had a 30.5" true measurement (in the 633 I have 31.2" and they're great), but these could have actually been even tighter and I woulda been alright with the stretch that will come. Just food for thought for someone going with their first pair of 888's!

First pair of 21oz 888s and they're fantastic! I tried getting into the 777s and 666s, but they were incredibly tight on my legs. This cut feels much better. I had concerns that these would be too tight as well, but after a couple hours they have loosened up already and are very comfortable. Thanks again @Alex for the last minute fit advice!
