Well the day has come, and so damn quickly I might add; on Monday evening, I confirmed my snap upgrades and a last-minute size change (thanks again for the patience Graham and Bailey!), and it arrived In San Francisco today! Got home late from work and not the best lighting, but here are some initial pics. Cant wait to get this piece in the sunlight, because the deep indigo is so gorgeous! I’m stoked on my size adjustment from original order of Medium down to a Small after careful consideration of how I wanted to wear this, which was as a lighter spring coat, that I could layer if needed but wanted a slimmer, more fitted look. I’m 5’8, 156, 39.5” chest, and this small fits perfect. I layered easy with a thick samurai tee, and a decently thick hoodie. The copper snap upgrade was something I was eager to see, and it’s even better than I hoped. Don’t sleep on this piece yall!! Thanks again to IH for a beautiful new jacket!

I’ve lived here 10 years, but took the scenic route to work today on the Vespa to give the new OD the tourist tour of SF. Beautiful morning here. This city never gets old. Even got to stop by Arsicault Bakery in my neighborhood, and digging their Pride spirit️

What can I say, this Denim is amazing and I’m so stoked to have been able to snag a piece in each the indigo and the overdyed varieties! I was initially most excited about the CPO, and don’t get me wrong, It’s incredible, but the OD type iii is so freaking sleek! Here are some photos of each individually, and layered to see both together! Also curious if folks can comment on how much the CPO will shrink in a cold soak. I gambled on the size, and I was fine with it being a little large and wearing it like a shacket, but the length is definitely something I would like to see shrink a little bit. Short torso guy here, so it’s just an issue for me, but a very small one at that! I love these pieces!

Well, a bit of a wild update here! Per my earlier post in this thread, the XL I thought I had tracked down through a seller on Facebook Iron Heart marketplace, which ended up ultimately being a purchase through eBay with the seller, was coming from a retailer in China he had tracked down, and after about three weeks of highly anticipated waiting, and like a young child on Christmas, I tore through the packaging only to find that the IHSH-368 was staring me in the face.. needless to say, I was pretty crushed. Apparently, there was a mixup somewhere along the way, and after many apologies from the Facebook seller, we set up the return process, and aside from some hurt feelings on my part, there was no damage done.

When I tell you I have been on the hunt for the shirt for the past eight months, I mean it! I went through all of the retailers posted In the original post, searching far and wide! And as you all know, this baby was sold out.

Ever since then, I have been checking in several times a week on all of the marketplace to see if one was popping up for sale. I thought I was being very diligent on the marketplace here on the forum, but two weeks ago, I stumbled across a post that I clearly missed from @Miiks back in October that he was selling his. I had very little faith that it was still available, but you never know, so I hit him up. Low and behold, he informed me it sold quite some time ago. And then a few days later, this SAINT of a man hit me up, saying that he stumbled across one for sale online, and he sent me the link. I couldn’t believe my eyes ! When I got onto Pinkomo’s site and saw that they had a medium still available! Are you freaking kidding me?!? The exact size that I have been hoping and praying for all these months, was still available!? I don’t think I’ve ever so frantically purchased an item before my life!

After my last experience, I was still holding my breath a tiny bit (unnecessarily, as Pinkomo is a pro-status shop). It arrived yesterday in pristine condition, in a beautifully wrapped box, so a massive shout out to the boys over at Pinkomo!

And so this, thanks to @Miiks and Pinkomo, is how I was able to track down, what I believe to be, maybe the last one of these for sale in the world!

It just goes to show that with a little bit of luck, persistence, and the wielding of the Almighty power of Iron Heart Forum, pipe dreams can come true!

I agree the Amundsen is probably the coziest of the UES trifecta, and I went with a size 3 on it to mix it up and make it more of an overshirt, whereas my Tricotine and Heavy Indigo are size 2.

@hgering27 thank you so much, this is super helpful in more ways than one! Nice to see how they are aging as well. Did you ever treat them for the snow/water with anything, or just rocked them as they are?

@Brian good to know they stand the test of time! How much did your shrink after initial washing? On the product page they warn against .4-.8” depending on where, but curious to know how yours turned out? To be honest mine feel perfect as is and wouldn’t want too much more shrinkage, which I’m hopeful can be avoided by cold wash and line dry with some gentle pulling where I want to keep the sizing the same.
