Thought this was pretty funny. For fans of The Bear.

Anyone watched this? Wonder what you're thinking about it. I'm not a football fan and find it very entertaining. Like an IRL sequel to Ted Lasso. Or is it too much cliché, too American? The enthusiasm is quite catchy at least.

@Jett129 - it may be heretical to say this but (tin hat on) I just don’t ‘get’ The Bear. I have tried to like it but just cannot get into it. I suspect that I am in a minority of one though.

@Crispy-Heron I don’t think it’s an especially easy show to get into. It’s pretty chaotic and unsettling and hard to figure out what’s going on and who’s who. Not sure why we persevered,but we did,watched the second season,went back and rewatched the first season. When we rewatched the first season it seemed to slow down,and you were able to pick up on things that you may have missed the first time around. I,know…Seems like a lot to do for a TV show. We had nothing else to watch at the time or maybe we would’ve bailed as well.

I refuse to watch it. The dude has a punchable face and I find celebrity kitchen culture to be contrived and uninteresting.

@Matt - don’t mind the guy playing the main character but I just don’t understand why it is popular. Perhaps as @Jett129 says it needs more than one watch but I was left completely cold by it. Critics appear to love it although I note that there is a backlash against series 3.

We have a love/hate relationship with The Bear. The kitchen chaos is very well rendered, but it’s super-stressful to watch sometimes. Other times it’s so overwrought we can’t hang. Just watched the 1st episode of season 3 last night, and it was sooo pretentious and boring. Hope it picks back up again.

My main beef with the show is I can’t believe it got put into the comedy category for awards shows, and subsequently robbed the likes of Abbott Elementary proper recognition for true comic excellence.

@sabergirl I don’t get the comedy classification either,but I blame that on the people that give out the awards. I’ve already watched season 3 and will wait until others have finished it to comment.

Presumed Innocent on Apple is worth a watch. And I also started watching My Lady Jane on Prime and really enjoying it!
