New Taylor Swift is what I’ll be listening to in the car this morning. Anyone else?

        No, thank you.

I don't get it either. It's obviously a phenomenon, but not one I like by any means.

You don’t have a 12 yr old daughter.

@Matt is the flow of music a one-way street in your house or do they like some of your stuff as well?

I’m not a Taylor Swift fan by any means, but I’ve seen her on talk shows and she always comes off as being really smart. I had to see for myself,so I went to see her movie and came away blown away by how immensely talented she is,and how hard she works. Everything that’s happened to her/for her is well deserved in my opinion. She got robbed by her record company or manager like so many musicians do,so she re-recorded everything. My hats off to her, even though I cringe at the thought of listening to her music.

I'm personally stoked to see a new generation getting excited about going to record stores, standing in line before doors open and buying physical media.

Taylor Swift is a prime gateway drug for other awesome female artists like Stevie Nick's, Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry etc....

I’m in the same boat. Really can’t stand her music, but she’s pretty badass. If I had kids, I could think of a lot worse bands/artists for them to be into.

I’ve had very limited exposure to her music and felt underwhelmed with what I’ve heard. I know she’s very popular, but It's not my taste of music.

I definitely had some garbage cassette tapes peppered into my collection at her age. The cream rose to the top at the end of the day.

One thing I’ve started doing is building shared playlists (Spotify family) with each kid and sprinkling in stuff I think they’d like that they might not find on their own. My son turns 13 this week and he loves TS but I’ve got him listening to The Beths, Soccer Mommy and Phoebe Bridgers this way.
