This is probably captured in the 700 or so posts in this thread but coat loops would be appreciated. I have plenty of IH coats (more than I should admit), alas only one, the glorious N1, has a coat loop. A little piece of me dies every time I put the weight of my IH 75 on the hood

@weftyarn What do you think of the coat loop I made for the IHJ-08 I sold you 😂

Context for others: Made this coat loop for the IHJ-08 which like many other jackets didn't have a coat loop using a little bit of some waxed cotton laces I had.

@pechelman @jordanscollected you don’t see it on a typical pearl snap western shirt, but other than tradition, would there be a reason why it couldn’t be a snap? Could be a structural thing.

I absolutely love it, mate @cityofdelusion and the Mrs even more haha! She loves the jacket.
You know what the problem is? None of the other jackets I know has a tag that you can use as a loop to attach a proper loop such as the 08 🤷🏽‍♂️

            Use it or lose it.

@weftyarn I'm glad it's useful! And I 100% agree regarding the coat loop idea, always wished for IH jackets to have them by default, but as Alex said, Haraki-san does not want them...

Funny enough though, the IHJ-79 (which I own) has a coat loop and if I had to guess, the new Primaloft jacket that Haraki-san is working on might have one too.

I'd prefer for it to be a snap personally, but figured there's some reason Haraki-san does it the way he does it with western collars being buttoned vs cpo collars with snaps (i.e. doesnt seem like it's a structural issue to me). Either way, sounds like this may be making its way in 2024?

Ah right… some do have snaps there. I think the 14oz indigo black shirt I have (forget the no.) has a top snap. I’d love it to become a global thing.

It would be nice on the internet site if when doing the product comparison, you could highlight the measurements column of interest. This way you could easily see the information you wanted. I have no idea how that would be possible, and maybe there is a way that my computer can do it, but thought I would ask.

Have you guys ever considered putting some of your most popular core pieces into production without snaps, and allowing customer to chose the snaps they'd like upon purchasing?

It's a small thing, but one that would be in line with IH's signature customer service.

Pimping options are great, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't passed on certain pieces in the past because I wasn't a fan of the stock snaps, and didn't wanna pay to have them swapped out.

@T4920 Given the relatively low number of snap upgrades we do in comparison to the default ones, it would not make sense to do so in my opinion. Not to mention a large increase in workload.

For example, when the IHSH-33's get restocked, a large portion of them fly out the door on day one. Having to fit the snaps on every single one, would delay shipping, and require a lot of manpower to get them done in a timely manner.

I just had a little rant about the crease/fade marks on the sleeves of some shirts on the 21oz Sashiko thread, so to keep the criticism constructive, I thought it would be a good idea to open up a conversation here on how this could potentially be alievated going forward.

Is this an issue that's been discussed amongst the crew in the past?

Was able to see quite a few sashiko tops from various brands in Philly this weekend. Most of them had similar creasing from being folded during shipping. I don’t think this is avoidable given the need to fold during shipping and the nature of the fabric's texture and dying.

You need to make Regular and Tall or if it makes you guys feel better call the Tall, Motorcycle Fit but you should make different sleeve and body length Western cut shirts. I've had to have so many shirts altered so that I dont have to wear EVERY single shirt from you guys with the sleeves folded. Getting sick of the same look. I've actually stopped buying IH button ups and going to other brands. That's how fed up I am with it. Still love you guys, you still make the best stuff and are the best group of guys. Just this one thing, drives me insane. It probably only drives me nuts because of how much I respect your brand. If I didn't, I would just move on.

It won't happen. We are simply not big enough to create tops for different body types. If we did, I bet none of our retailers would take any because of the complexity of stock management. So we would have to take them all, and we would be left with far more unsold than we currently do (because we would have to guess the quantities needed for more items, and we would get it wrong). That would lead to an increase in warehouse space needed and the number of items that go into the outlet, which would mean increased costs, so prices would have to go up across the board. It is unfortunately the case that some brands fit different body types better than others. The Flat Head shirts never work on me, It's a shame, but it is what it is.
