I’d like to give @Alex some love for a few things that he’s done / doing to carry on the legacy that H&G initiated.
First, the re-love program. This is good for consumers who want to get a nicely worn item that otherwise is just sitting in a closet or a box, but more importantly it is ecologically a good move.
Second, the free repairs for life. This fits the IH ethos established by @Giles of extreme customer service, but again, more importantly in my mind reduces consumption, and ultimately probably revenue for IH, but is good for ecological sustainability and also for us, since most of us would like to wear our gear into dust. It also falls in line with the IH ethos of durable gear robustly constructed.
It is very difficult for a retailer to balance profitability and sustainability, and to be willing to make sacrifices to do so is truly admirable.

Thanks and good call. I forgot to also mention experimentation with less toxic dying techniques, using organic fabrics in some cases, and of course contracting with suppliers who, I have to assume, treat their workers with respect.

After being away for a while.. which had multiple reasons but the most important reason was that i wasn’t in the best place at the moment.. i’m back and it feels good, really soo freakin’ good! I wanna thank you all for the warm welcome you gave me which i truly showing thenlpve that’s going round here! I wanna thank all who checked in on me on a regular base which really was heart warming. So new year, better me and a lot of new things on the horizon. New job which i’ll start the 1st of april. Wearing the f*ck outta my 361 and some new XHSbb and XHSib will come in since i lost 10kg’s since it all. Healthy, loving and feeling alive! We’re ready to rock ‘n roll peeps! Cheers
