I made it to the shop yesterday. Using Google maps makes the journey painless, except for the fact that it takes almost an hour and a half to get there from west Tokyo.

Here you can see the location of the bus stop at Hachioji station.

And you can follow along as the bus drives.

I can confirm that they don’t do tax free.

      A few pics.

So far I have not seen them on any photos from Japan, they seem to be victims of supply chain shortages.

Greetings from the west coast of Canada!

New member to the forum with a question for you seasoned Iron Heart veterans. I’ll be going to Japan next week and wondering if any of you have been to the Hachioji store? If so, what should I expect? Are there items that are exclusive to Japan? How is the range and selection of Iron Heart gear? Any advice?

Does anyone know of any other stores in the greater Tokyo area that carry Iron Heart products?

                  Thanks in advance
                  John

They had a good stock of items when I was there in October including many things that have been sold out a while at all other locations. I found it interesting that it's more so that we get unique or special items that they don't get like indigo/black. The staff was super excited to see the IB type 3 I wore, most of them said it was the first time actually holding this fabric.

As for other stores, I noted at least one place in amekoyo in ueno having a few IH shirts. Don't ask me which one but I recall it being near the corner of one of the streets. Personally I liked the shopping here better than harajuku. Much more compact and more of a locals / drinking hangout vibe compared to the more trendy cat street. Plus way more places to grab a quick drink or snack when you need a break. Good luck and enjoy your trip @Denman-John!

Edit: I forgot that they did have 7.5oz pocket tees when I was there and came home with one in mustard. Haven't seen those anywhere else.

At the Hahioji store (which is the largest IH store) you will find that there may be the odd Japanese-exclusive item, but you also find that the range they have for sale is far smaller than we offer internationally.

Good timing with visiting the thread today too, the indigo 634s I picked up are starting to fade
Have a great time in Japan!

I was surprised with how busy it was when we were there too, lots of us from the US in all at once.

@hbg1 ooh what's the story with those 634s? Based on the tonal stitching I'd guess they're the 14oz, but somehow that denim looks beefier...

I have to say they’re definitely my most favorite pair.
I have a pair of the 777 14 oz as well and these definitely feel completely different (and do feel a bit heavier IMO)

@hbg1 ahh right on — I'm sorta relieved, got scared I was going to have to go on a hunt for some Japan-only tonal 21oz 😅!

That's cool to see the 14oz getting some evo. I really wanted a pair of those but they didn't make a 35 and I couldn't make34/36 work. Will probably give em another try if the chart works out next time.

EDIT oh hm looks like they did make a 35...

All these images of the Works store is giving me a serious itch! I think it's getting to be time I start trying to re-hatch my Japan trip I had to cancel during Covid.

@popvulture honestly the sizing on these surprised me. I’m wearing a 32 and they’ve definitely got some give to them because I know I’ve added a couple of pounds since the Japan trip 😂

I will say I totally understand the indigo obsession now, love seeing the random fades that pop up each day.
I’m plotting my return to Japan as well, hoping to get back over this year!
