Thanks guys, but I think we’ll be fine and I can’t imagine the fires would travel that far. My brother in law has a cottage about 30 km’s away from the fire and was up there last night to check on it. He said everything is fine for the time being and they are calling for rain in the next few days which should help.

I don’t think there will be any issues other than the sky being really odd coloured and tasting like bad scotch…

The smoke is traveling really far I just took a trip north into New York about a half hour drive and you can see the smoke. It is not as bad as what it looks like in @goosehd but I am not as close to the fires. I thought it was a fog at first while driving but when you go outside you can smell that it is smoke.

@goosehd There is currently an air quality alert in my town of Cranford,NJ as a result of the fires in Canada. Smells very smoky outside.

@Jett129 Wow, I didn’t realize that it has spread that far. The local news has reported that tomorrow will be worse than today and the situation may not get better until the weekend.

The in-laws are out of the cities and towns somewhat, and I was told that is smoke specific, but cannot verify myself

@flannel-slut Thank you and it looks like most of the east coast is dealing with this shit...it's disgusting outside now. You can taste the smoke in the air...

Everything is this sick yellowish orange colour and the best way to describe it is to look at a picture with the sepia filter turned on.

One of the crazy things is that normally you would see tons of birds outside, rabbits, and other wildlife...I'm not really seeing any today.
