Any thoughts on applying Smith's Leather balm on the IH patches? My 777D just came out of a wash cycle and I would like to apply some oil or fat to the patch for longevity. Smith's is the only one that I have currently with me. Is this Okay?

Anything oil/fat based will do the job.

Any clearish oil/grease will help.  I sometimes use olive oil if I can't be arsed to move from the kitchen….

I had the khaki duck 816s.  Loved them but sold them.  I’d buy that colorway in a heartbeat.  I get by with the 777s now though.

Same here but I regretfully chopped mine. I have a pair of 888D but nothing fits quite as well as the original 816s.  I would buy any colorway in a heartbeat !!
