I had the khaki duck 816s.  Loved them but sold them.  I’d buy that colorway in a heartbeat.  I get by with the 777s now though.

Same here but I regretfully chopped mine. I have a pair of 888D but nothing fits quite as well as the original 816s.  I would buy any colorway in a heartbeat !!

I don’t feel too bad because I would need a 32 now.  Mine were 34.  It’s a shame they are no more.

Hey there,

I have rather specific question on sizing.
I have a 777 in 21oz denim, which I purposefully took in 34 to have it somewhat wider (meaning I clearly fitted in the 33 and it would have been my size for a normal IH fit). In the 555 I had a 32 and in the 634 a size 33.

I could get a size 33 777-D at a good price but I am kind of unsure given all the comments on the duck canvas 777s being a bit more snug than the 21oz denim counterpart.

Your thoughts?

Maybe it helps but then again it’s very individual. I size similar to you and tried on a 777D to see if I can manage them over engineer boots. I would chose size 34 in 777D and I am a 33 in 634 21 and 33 in 666 14 and a 32 in 634 XHS.
