…@Oaktavia Bachelors Funeral! :o

I originally meant to post this in the Random Questions sub but I think this relates to Random Announcements too? Whoops.
Anyway thanks for the tips @ARNC that all makes perfect sense.
@Giles Lovely couple in that photo, I'm sure you are proud of them! They look excellent. Oddly enough, my fiancée was looking at that same dress but decided against it. I think I will go with IH chinos, I didn't realize they dressed up nicely. That makes it much easier.
Now I just need to find a nice jacket…
@vaquero357 haha those two words together are oddly cool

Mine is a Ralph Lauren which I got from an outlet about 20 years ago. If I paid more than USD100 for it, I'd be very surprised…..
This is similar....

Have a look at Engineered Garments tailoring

Wow great wedding photo and cool building. That’s around the corner from my office and the studios I teach in but haven’t seen it. Will check it out next week.

If you're looking to do the mix and match, find a pair of pants that you already own and would wear (if you've got some) and go from there. Doesn't have to be fancy or dressy, a plain pair of chinos or khakis will get the job done. Then you can just ball out and get a nice blazer to dress it all up. Get something you'll wear again and again. And find a tailor in town that you love.

It's hard to beat a nice, well-fitting blazer

Congrats @Oaktavia !
I wore Iron Heart
Blazers and sports coats are great, but I personally find brass buttons (too yacht club) and elbow pads (too professorial) you often find on them to be outdated. I do like unstructured coats for more casual occasions.
I also like the corduroy one you linked.

That's fucking vile. We are indeed a "virus with shoes" as Bill Hicks put it. If they can't be bothered to clothe the needy at least recycle them. I don't understand the economics of littering the Chilean desert with them.

Highly recommend that anyone driving distance to London check out this terrific band March 26-27 of next year:
https://www.jambase.com/article/billy-strings-tour-dates-london-debut
They'd fall within the Americana classification with a bluegrass/newgrass/progressive bluegrass base, but Billy has a thrash background too (he does a pretty good heavy metal hair whip when his hair is long enough) that occasionally makes it way in among other influences.
Tickets go on sale this Friday.

@mclaincausey I just tried to get tix for both nights, but the pre-sale has sold out. Will be trying again for general admission! He could have played much bigger venues here in the UK!!
