We been  making a lot of apple butter. One person ordered 24 cookings of apple butter this week.

Yes thanks that helps. I couldn't sort the design. They are invaluable in an industrial kitchen when we cook 15 lbs of pasta at a time, or make 30 gallons of demi glace.

I need a new kitchen, with one of those installed.

We (used to) frequent a Japanese restaurant for ramen but haven't been in quite awhile.

You are making me crave Ramen, but i also miss my favorite appetizer.

If you want to keep on the Japanese theme in the kitchen, I highly recommend trying Chicken Kaarage (Japanese fried chicken).

The bowls are 19th century Minton, the pattern is Amherst Japan.  Ever since the first time I saw one, I fell in love. I buy them whenever I find one at a good price.  I have a few now 

My favourite colourway, but exceedingly hard to find…..

Re: yours, I don't I am afraid.  I'm no expert but I'm guessing it is genuinely oriental as there are no western markings on it....
