As promised, a better picture of the replacement bike. A Whyte Dorset, which is a little better equipped to year round cycling in the UK than the old Bianchi
I think all of you know what I do at work! The tour jacket is being pretty sedentary this week, with a lot of strategy planning about next year, and a small lull in new products. This is my view for most of the day:
For those of you with an eagle eye, there is a little spoiler somewhere in this photo (hint - it's not the J100) for something next year, though I will not be confirming or denying anything on it currently
Also, for the avoidance of doubt, I am not an SS supporter, I am trying to explain to the Obbi Good Label boys where their choice of lightning bolt design is not the most sensible for the western market ::)And a little arm crease action to tide you over.
I will ask @Sam to take studio pics of the progress this afternoon…

Friday night I had a party at my flat, so yesterday was spent entirely on the sofa recovering. I needed some fresh air today, so went for a walk around the sea front this afternoon.
Portsmouths answer to Brighton pier, Clarence pier which bizarrely is not actually a pier.. It used to be home to a very very shit London eye replica, but it was recently decommissioned (read: someone pointed out how dangerous it was to have that sort of structure on a beach that gets winds of up to 100mph in a storm)
A view over the Solent, in the background you can see two of the forts in the solent which are part of the Palmerston Forts. One of them is now a luxury hotel and another (out of shot) is a slightly less luxury hotel.
Portsmouth is home to the last passenger carrying hovercraft in the world:

The Portsmouth Naval Memorial
Southsea Castle, built in the 1500s by Henry VIII as part of the Device programme, it now houses a brewery and champagne parties in the summer months.
One of the biggest tourist pulls for the town
The view looking back at Gosport from Eastney, the south-eastern most point of Portsea island

And the soundtrack to the walk:

Interesting that this wasn't brought up in the planning and/or construction. It seems like a relevant piece of information.

Alex, is Southsea skatepark still there? it was/is just back from the seafront, many a happy afternoon spent there in my youth…

It is yes, I often go and sit on the common just by the skate park in the summer with a BBQ @organisys
