I moved the buttons in on the cuffs making them smaller. I left the old thread there while I moved the buttons for a visual reference where I should put the new button placement.

      Turned out great.

Got my contest Ooe Yofukuten jeans back from Indigo Proof. Great work as always!

That is incredibly good work… I need to find someone to do a similar job for me soon, and think I better trial a test pair of cheaper jeans and also show them your pictures and ask if they can make it look like that!!

          @Filthy25ozJunkie Awesome work.

I'm a fan of button down collars and I've actually been thinking of giving it a try on my IHSH-68.  For some reason I like to wear this one with the first and second button unbuttoned, and that creates a wider than desired collar spread.  It'd be awesome if the collar could stand up and stay in place with buttons.  The issue with that is having to add button holes to the collar, but I imagine I could find a tailor willing to do that.  I could harvest the buttons from the top button (which I will never use), and maybe one of the pockets (which I don't keep buttoned anyway).  I think you've convinced me to give it a go.

I know there are considerations like shape of the collar itself, with button down collars having a different shape than otherwise, but hey the worst thing that happens is I have some discreet button holes in the collar left over.

Today my 634s have come back from Japan, where they went for some repair. I'm really pissed off! 7 years of hard work thrown into the casket! My jeans now are back NEW !!! Now I have to start all over again: wear them all day everyday, treat them as shit but wash them carefully as they are babies and all! Curse Iron Heart. They did a manic work of diagnosis, finding weak points that I had not even noticed and then strengthened them. They even reinforced the seams of the patch! But the worst thing, the one that made me really mad as a wasp was that they did it quick. And all for free! Shame on you, Iron Heart, you ruined my life!

I hope you all understood that it was a joke … the guys in Japan were great, better than I expected. And the wait is much shorter than I thought. About the cost of the whole operation ... Maybe Giles has forgotten (??)

@tvenuto Not sure if this would work for you,or how you would accomplish it,but Harley puts a small snap at the back of all their shirt collars to keep them from flapping around while you're riding. Also looks really good when the top buttons are unbuttoned. if this sounds interesting to you I could send you some pictures.

I've worn my 301s for about 3.5 years and have already had them repaired several times.  They are again in an unwearable state due to holes in the crotch.  The following needs to be done:

                      (1) Fix holes in the crotch and other places
                      (2) Fix the pocket bags (which are completely shredded)
                      (3) Put a patch over the existing darning.  Self-Edge did a bad job last time and there are huge balls of thread in the darning which scrape my legs like a cheese grater (this is even after wearing them for more than a year after the darning).

Is it even worth repairing these or would it be better to retire them?  If a repair is worth it, who do I go about getting them to IH Japan?

IH UK is offering a great customer service, opportunity to Pimp and several hemmings (the rainbow thread is my most favorite  ;)).

But I was wondering for a long time, why you guys don't offer a repair service!?

So @Giles , if you are able to provide an IHUK Repair Service on regular basis, like all the one we now outside of Europe, it is time to launch it.

Some of the machines are available right in Gos Vegas.
And I would enjoy to see some beautiful garments send back to Japan!

Pity, I have a pair of overdyed 666s I've not worn in two years  because they need repaired. 1st repair was by the denim doctor, (who did what I didn't want him to do and no better than local places, would not use him again). Keeping them for when I can eventually take them to Self Edge for some darning type repairs.

                                          Hi,
                                          I'm after some advice…
I regularly wear through the left knee of all my jeans well before the right knee and well before anything else serious needs repairing. I usually send my jeans to the Denim Doc in Manchester (UK) who does a great job reinforcing the knee and then over-stitching. This works pretty well for most jeans, however my current jeans (Trophy 1607) are super-soft and the reinforcing material changes the way the jeans hang at the knee; it looks like I've got kneepads underneath!
I've unpicked the stitching and am thinking I might ask him to re-do the repair with a lot thinner reinforcing material. Before I do, can anyone suggest any other way to repair small holes in the knee and where could I get it done?

                                          Cheers,
                                          Dan
