That means you have to get more Baumans AppleButter. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Ordered a 40oz Apple Butter, 16oz Peanut Butter, 18oz Cranberry Butter, and 18oz Pumpkin Butter.  Hopefully that will last me awhile.

              Trying out the new griddle…

              And sourdough loaves

Very pleased with the  sourdough, the starter has really got going now

If anyone would like some of the starter, let me know and I'll ship with next order (though it may delay shipping the order a day or 2)…

Agreed. Skillets are tough to beat. I like to preheat mine in the oven such that I get a quick sear.

I  do My steak also in a cast iron skillet.
I make the skillet real hot as posable then pop the steak in.

How much do you reckon you pay per loaf, G?.. I only eat organic sourdesem bread, but shit's epensive… If I  buy dinkel bread with nuts or fruit, it's not exceptional to pay 5-6/ bread... Usually pay around 3 though... But wondering how hard it is (for an eejit) to make your own bread...

It is seriously easy, but a little time consuming.

My organic white flour costs me the equivalent of €1.30 to make 2 large loaves.  I do not buy yeast as I made the starter, which is effectively a culture of naturally occurring yeasts.  You will need to feed the starter from time to time, so need to add a little wholemeal (in my case) flour, so a few cents there.

Other than that a little salt, some oil (optional), some rye flour for dusting and power…..
