This denim is absolutely EPIC! Stiff, but with a great degree of comfort and the black is amazing.

These are going to be my summer shorts (after my local leather shop gives them a chicken leg) and I have another pair on the way.

For sizing:
34 Busters are a perfect fit for me and in this cut I went with a 33 for the shorts and they are looser than my busters. For my pair of long pants I sized down one more to a 32 witch should be more flattering.

Thought I’d make a thread to answer those burning questions that I and many others have about what makes for a durable pair of jeans.

From what I can tell:

Heaviest doesn’t mean most durable (For example N&F 32oz may not last any longer than (or even as long as) TW666 17oz)
Denim that is super dense and thick can sometimes wear out fast at certain spots
looser weaves with heavy denim can actually distribute stress better making jeans last longer
Loose weaves with short staple cotton can wear out fast
Many of the rare high quality cotton varieties extend the life of jeans
Long staple cotton is an essential ingredient for super durable denim
Denim that is about 15-19oz seems to be most durable (I think?)
Selvedge denim is almost always better because it weaves a nice dense weave and can go heavier than non-selvedge; however some modern Non-selvedge machines (like the ones Iron Heart uses) actually make tougher denim with fewer flaws than selvedge.
STF usually means more durable, but I have no clue about heavyweight STF denim as to if it’s more or less durable. My STF Levis lasted much longer than the stanforized ones, but I don’t know what affect the added stiffness would have verses the added toughness on heavy jeans.

This is just what I’ve found… So please feel free to correct what I have wrong and add to it. I’m hoping to learn new things here too! Obviously it can be difficult to prove with complete certainty which pair of jeans is most durable, but we can still do some good comparative analysis based on our experience and knowledge.
