Morgan is stoked!!! And I couldn’t be happier to see this outcome.

Congratulations to any Eagles fans, they played a great game. Commiserations to the Chiefs, who were flattered by the final score.

To paraphrase a famous old Scottish football headline ‘ Super Philly Go Balistic, Kansas Are Attrocious’.

Congrats Philly, that D line of yours played with their hair on fire. And sincerest of condolences to Chiefs fans, coming close to history like that, disappointment is going to sting for a while.

I was surprised the Eagles didn't do more off tackle, sweep/toss, and counter plays to bump Saquon outside. If they could have established him on the ground then they could have then used play action. I think I saw one play action play and the reason the Chiefs bit was because there was absolutely no reason not to run Saquon at the point (but Jalen threw a long TD on that play anyway... Brutal!). Obviously it sounds crazy to critique their offense after what they did but it seemed like a higher risk strategy than they needed: more risk of injury to Hurts or a turnover.

All of this to say the MVP really won Philly with his legs and his arm. I am not surprised he was able to do that, but I'm surprised he had to. Fully expected Saquon to carry more of the load.

The D once again proved what the Giants D did twice before against Brady: no matter how good your QB, if your down lineman can pressure him, he won't get close to his potential. It's just too hard to deal with pressures and sacks and also an intact defensive backfield.

I thought a win like this was possible, but not probable. Impressive win by the Birds.

            Think it, be it.

@Alex I don't think it's fixed. I think that the referees put their thumbs on the scale unfairly at key moments in games and change outcomes. Watching Jalen play in this game made me think he very likely would have won two years ago had they not denied him a chance at the two minute drill with a bogus call.

That's the issue, not a grand conspiracy.

Yeah congrats to Philly. This stat stood out to me…Mahomes was pressured 18 times resulting in 6 sacks with NO BLITZES! Their d-line took advantage of KC’s biggest weakness and the Eagles outplayed us in every other facet of the game as well. Just a bad time to have the worst game of your career (Mahomes). Onward, looking forward to next year.

@SKT those two facts are linked: that they pressured with their down linemen and Mahomes had his worst game. That was my point above. If you can pressure without blitzes there isn't a QB on the planet who won't be diminished because the D still has their entire backfield and wind up being squeezed between pressure and coverage sacks.

I wish I could re-live that trip. I barely slept (and when I did it was spent in a wardrobe and a bath tub - don't ask).

                          The gun range was surreal.

Highlight, however, was a Philly cheese-steak, so the universe balanced things out in the end.

Just chiming in here - I've "bled green" as they say around here for the past 40 years or so - ever since I started watching football as a young lad. For the BIRDS to put together 2 SB winning rosters in under 7 years (note only offensive tackle Lane Johnson, defensive end Brandon Graham, kicker Jake Elliott and long snapper Rick Lovato are still on the Eagles’ roster from the 2017-18 SB-winning team), and to get to 2 of the last 3 SBs, AND to take down what many believe is the next NFL dynasty in the Mahomes/Reid Chiefs (after Brady/Belichick), this Eagles' team deserves much praise today.

This comes after nearly 50 years of mediocrity - followed by some decent teams in the McNabb/Reid era (including the 2004-5 SB loss to Brady), and the 2017-18 championship with Foles/Pederson. But I must be honest - this feels like something different. This feels like a special team and the potential start to a new era in Eagles football. Of course much will come down to whether Howie Roseman (GM) is able to keep most of this team together so we can make another run at Mahomes in 2025-26 (assuming they are able to get past Buffalo and get to the big dance yet again).

It's incredibly difficult to get to the SB in back-to-back years, but here's hoping we can celebrate again 1 year from now. As Merrill Reese, the voice of the Eagles on local radio said best last night, "Savor it Eagles' fans...and REJOICE!"

Usually Mahomes is good for one crazy play a game where his elusiveness produces something special (and points). He couldn’t do it against the Eagles and looked rattled for almost the entire game. Credit that to their d-line and game plan

Whatever his logic it was a brilliant game plan - and getting them to all buy into his scheme and perform at that level this year is really something special. Take that GMs who hire all these younger coaches. Sometimes it pays to get an old dog in the house.

Hats off to the Eagles D. I knew they were good but not that good. Reminded me more of when The Chiefs got beat by Tampa in The Super Bowl, and Mahomes was running for his life every snap. Congrats to all The Eagles fans.

@Jett129 the issue is that they were letting it go the entire game and chose to enforce it at a key moment. A lot of calls are judgment calls (and a lot of those non-reviewable) and they are inconsistent with those.

It's just a simple fact that the officials change outcomes. AFC Championship had some bad examples. The Bills still had their opportunities and their loss is on them, but they were on the wrong end of numerous terrible calls and spots.

The SB started with a horrendous example that killed the Birds' opening drive. Ironically the make-up call for that one was the one that was cashed in. I'd say the Eagles in the end benefited from more shitty calls than the Chiefs, but the Eagles were a much better team such that it didn't much matter what the officials did.

The 2018 NFC Championship no-call on a blatant DPI is another example if you want to go outside the Chiefs. Denied us Brees v Brady and we instead got the worst SB in history.

That the NFL won't even make it a full time job tells you all you need to know about how seriously they take officiating. Also that they aren't using the chip that's already in the ball to help with accurate spots. Also that their challenge system requires coaches to do their job for them. Etc

                                            Think it, be it.
