That is some driiiiiip. I like it.
Ain't dropping $880 for it.

Lots of wears; lots of washes.

@Mizmazzle Though, yeah... If they might be a pair you return, holding off makes sense, fer sher!
@Mizmazzle I think indigo/black denim looks really good/intriguing with a little cuff, so I felt pretty comfortable just ordering this pair hemmed from the get-go and giving myself some extra wiggle room in the length.
Thankfully, I am in no great rush for my pair. They'll be under the tree till Christmas morn.
Also, just wanted to mention that I appreciate what IHUK is doing regarding the tariffs. i.e. Paying the dang tariffs. This appears to be very much the exception. Everywhere else is all, "Hey, we appreciate your custom. You mean the world to us! Oh, tariffs? Yeah; you're on your own there, numbnuts."
I'm sure it's good business, but it also comes across as pretty classy.
I have no screenshots of this, but I feel like I've spotted Paul Hollywood wearing what looks to be very much like an Iron Heart work shirt—with the logo unpicked from the pocket—on Bake Off before. But I don't know if it actually was Iron Heart. Anyone else remember noticing the same thing?
Well, shoot. Just spent 500 bucks on jeans. Time to get my "eyebrows plucked" and my "arsehole bleached."
@motojobobo said in Insects:
Curious as to what the utility of that outrageous abdomen is…any idea @nurunuru ?
Yep. It's an ovipostor, so only the females have it. The female is able to sense where June beetle grubs are underground and then lay eggs directly inside 'em.
So it's H.R. Giger-esque in both appearance and life cycle!
Also, despite being a wasp, it is sans stinger.
@nurunuru wow what a wild looking insect.
Right?! Would not want to be a June bug grub around that gal
Pelecinus polyturator. Took this pic years ago. Always exciting to see!

Was reading a copy of Life Magazine from 1944, as one does, and came across this ad regarding sanforization. Thought it might be of interest to at least one other person. Maybe.

@jimcord He looks proper dapper in it.
Honestly, the fit pics here look pretty much identical to my eye to the new fit pics just posted by IHUK for the upcoming 555S-21od drop.
I mean, I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin' is all.
Cheers @sabergirl . Appreciate your take on it.
The pics, as I say, are really making this new batch look great.
"Etymological origins" would be something of a tautology, I suppose. Ahh, well. It's out there now.
As political discussion of any sort is banned on this forum (which, admittedly, does rather stretch the etymological origins of the word), I can only really chime in with,
" ."
I would consider arcuate colour to be predominantly irrelevant.
If I'm wearing the jeans, I can't see 'em,
and if someone's staring at my arse intently enough to notice, I'm gonna say it's not their primary concern, either.
(OK... With the thickness of the fabric, I might need more like 1 1/4" of stretch in the waist...
)
Dang. The updated product pics make this new batch look absolutely phenomenal. The indigo is so. flippin'. dark! Gah! Maybe I could somehow make the sizing work if I wore 'em raw (well... sanforized) for a while and then only washed 'em cold. I'd need about an inch of stretch in the waist. People have done more than that with XHS, right?!
