Katie locked the keys in the car with the kids once when they were babies. She had to call the fire department to get her into the car. When she called me to tell me what happened I asked why she didn’t use the keypad on the door. The code was her birthday.

My wife and I once locked our son in the car with the car running,in the Amish Country,and just as we were about to smash a window this guy walked up and said I can open the car for you,and to this day I have no idea as to what he did. This was before cell phones,and the Amish don’t have phones.

Oh man one day my ex let the key inside the lock(inside) and she closed the door when she left so we had to break into our own house in the end that relationship felt like a lock-up

I’m a serial “lock yourself out of something” person. Not ashamed but it does waste a lot of time. I’ve locked my keys in a car that was running before…more than once. @Matt The kids in there adds a whole other level of suspense. Wondering if Katie remembers that with a laugh or something else

@SKT It wasn’t one of the Amish people that helped us,as a matter of fact they couldn’t have cared less,and obviously couldn’t call the police. It was some total stranger who apparently was quite good at breaking into cars.
