@Alex been wondering about the denim bottoms production backlog… I remember you discussing it on the podcast a while back and I’ve been wondering if it is getting sorted as time passes. I’m sure it’s frustrating, I was just curious and hopeful that it was moving in the right direction for you (and us 😀)

@Giles @Alex is the indigo/indigo duck that is used for the DD jacket the same 16.5/17.5 raw cotton that was used for the pants? In which case, would one treat a jacket of that fabric as raw (following the UHR instructions)?

Yes, I had this jacket and I treated as raw, and got decent shrink from it

Are these two items made from different Wabash fabrics? The IHC-10 Work Cap seems to be a different type of blue and the bleached dots appear slightly bigger and of a different tint of white. The weft also appears different, with the hat I can see the white dots through the weft while I can't see it with the 227. They are both pretty faded and the shades are quite different.

Anyone know if these are different versions of Wabby?

Very possibly. The very first Wabash we did in 2010/11, we made into IH-811. Haraki was not 100% happy with it, so he reworked it and released IH-814 a year or so later. I suspect he used the original wabash for the IHC-10. Certainly looks like it....

                          See here for a comparison.

Ah, okay gotcha G, thanks. As soon as I took the IHC-10 from the box, I thought hmm...this looks different. The way the "regular" Wabash fades is more of a cool toned, darker blue compared to the warmer toned, more dramatic fades of the older one. I think you are correct in your suspicion. Both warp and weft appear to be different from one another.

It was actually given to me by the legendary @Clint_D and it was faded this way out of the box. But yeah, it seems to have a warmer tone compared to the other Wabash that we see much more of around here. It seems to be the old Wabash that was releases first. In person, they look even more different.

I'm pretty sure that cap was made from the same wabash as the IHSH-55 run of wabash material like G was saying. I'm pretty sure I have a pair of cut off 811's like Giles' pair somewhere though not nearly as well faded!

Has there been any talk of doing a XHS 1955?

its been discussed, and it may well happen next XHS factory run
