You just have to convert both units, oz to grams, and square yard to square meter.

A lot easier than converting fuel consumption, where you go by miles per gallon, and we go by liters per 100km, so there is a totally different reference point.

@tody Once again,that’s really cool as well. I’ve just occasionally seen the fabric,for example,described as 280 gms. Pima cotton. And since I know that there’s 28 grams in an ounce…simple math. But now if I ever see grams and meters…Bingo,or as @Graham would say Bazinga!

Hey Forum peeps…we’re looking at having new windows put into our home and are in the process of getting quotes. We had one company come out for a quote and it seemed astronomical.
Wondering if anyone has gone through this process lately and have some experience with pricing etc.

We have 22 windows we’d like replaced. Dude quoted us $60k at retail. This guy is a family friend and said he could get us employee cost for half price. Sounded like a good deal in theory but $30k still seems astronomical.

Anyways. We plan to ge more quotes and research more. Just curious if anyone has some fresh, first hand experience.

Might be a silly one, but is the machinery of the average high street tailor capable of hemming heavy denim such as 21oz and UHR?

Got lucky and scored some 21oz IB 666s on Markkt for a steal, and wanna get them hemmed alongside my UHR, as I'm kinda of bored of the cuffed denim look at the moment.

@Mister_Brue they've done good jobs with Wabash and 18oz denim in the past, and are the best rated tailor in my city.. I'll speak to the guy!
