The tariff ceiling on imported goods is quite high in the US and I believe most shipments from IHUK do not incur fees.

From the UK, to be specific. I've had to pay tariffs on sub-$1k items from Germany, but VAT, which was incorporated into the online price, was at least removed to offset that a bit.

Of course, what an item costs and what it is marked as may be two different things, and some country’s customs officers don’t bother checking that.

^^ its been hit or miss for me, I've had to pay customs on a leather jacket purchased from Aero once but not the second time? I recall it being less than $80 but I guess that is based on the overall price.

Almost nothing we send to The USA attracts duties.  Most items come under the $800 threshold and if they don't we make sure they do…....

Let's put it like this.  The average US customs clerk would not believe that shit costs this much.......

I very recently ordered some motorcycle gear from Motolegends, a store in the UK, for a total value of 956 US dollars. They sent it to the US via DHL and today I paid a 46 dollar import duty on the total value.

And yes, I’ve never before paid US dues on IH gear, even though they’ve totalled over 800 dollars at times.

Haha thanks Giles. Yeah, I’ve never paid IH duties either and have exceeded $1k ok an order before. I assumed it was impossible and now I know why.
