@Supersonic I will echo @WhiskeySandwich as he pretty much said what I would have. The longest I have logged is 141 wears before washing my 634XHS. They were gross!

I don't make it as long with jackets, I made it 90 days before washing my slubby type 2.

I’ve found that I can wear a type III jacket for years without washing. That said, I don’t usually sweat in them and only wear over one or two layers in colder seasons or at night. Also don’t really count my “wear days” so I have no idea how many I’ve actually put into my jackets, but I’ve only ever bothered to wash one of them, after a ranch dressing incident.

@sabergirl Yeah I think I'm in the same boat to be fair. I don't count the wears and go through phases of wearing it. Naturally it's been nowhere near Daily over the period.

I just wash my jeans with the same laundry detergent I use on everything else. Sometimes I’ll use Woolite Black if I want to try to preserve the darkness of a pair, but tbh I wonder if it even does that. Also sounds like I’m maybe not alone here, but I tend to think special denim detergent is scamsville.

@Oaktavia after my experience with the sbg, I’ve been doing tub washes for denim with mild dish soap and light agitation. I find the fabric remembers my creases better than in the machine, and this minimizes marbling. I’ve found it also slows the all-over wash fades a bit, so I’ve been doing it a bit more frequently.

@Oaktavia uh lol, no good reason really. We ran out once and I tried it, cuz they say it’s gentle, and I’ve used it for my car too, so I figured it’s worth a shot. Turned out fine and made cool, trippy suds. Hahaha
I have soft water so no probs really. I guess I kept doing it because the kitchen is closer to the tub than the laundry room….lazy excuses! I should probably use laundry detergent huh? 🤔

@Oaktavia I know with tie dye you use dish soap to get rid of any loose dye that is not bonded to the cotton. Usually boil the shirts with some dish soap and then wash with normal detergent after. Never thought about it with denim.
