@natefreezy OK I understand now. To prevent marbling, I soak in a tub of just warm water for one hour. Then I wash in my machine normal cotton cycle with no spin. I turn the jeans inside out. After the wash, I learned recently to lay out a couple large towels on the floor and lay the soaking pants on top of them (with no spin, the pants will be dripping soggy wet). Then put two more large towels on top of the pants. Next, roll the towels and jeans up and kneel on them as I roll them up. This removes a lot of water that makes it less messy to walk the jeans outside to dry and takes much less time to dry. I think that covers it all...
I've been doing the same with all my selvage denim. The crew at Self Edge PDX tipped me off to this move before I had a pair of Brave Stars repaired. It's my go-to for all of my selvage jeans, shirts, and anything I don't want marbling.
The pro move is to find an old beach towel. They tend to be heavier-weight, hold more water, and are properly long for those unhemmed jeans.

@Yoprst You are in for a treat, 25oz should be right around the corner. But yeah I believe 19/21oz no plans.

@Yoprst The guys are correct, the 888-XHSib should be by end of the year and there is nothing in schedule for the 21ib yet I'm afraid.
Nothing for the 19ib either, and If my memory service me this was a seasonal/one off piece, so nothing in the works for this I'm afraid. We do have the 19L and 19Lod being organised into to production in Japan. so realistically we wont see that for at least 6-8months, if you are wanting something in that 19oz fabric.

Just had such high hopes for them to arrive in time before it was too late to send in the raw proof.
Last date is 31 October, but guess it would need a miracle for that to happen🫣
Oh well, I’m buying a pair of XHSib eitherway and gonna wear the hell out of them

I'm totally buying a pair to put on the shelf until I can get through my current 888 XHB pair. And this is where this lovely affliction has come to, shelving denim due to limited production and in anticipation of future wear. I'm here for it.

@Mizmazzle Filthy had pointed that out before somewhere on here and I agreed with him then and do now as well. Maybe it's placebo maybe it's something to do with the dying methods.

I think it starts stiffer than the regular XHS and that makes it feel heavier. The XHS BB feels even heavier because its even stiffer...

I agree. My XHSbb felt and still feels stiffer than my XHS. Even now that both are super broken in, the BB is stiffer while the XHS is drape-tastic! I love them both so much!
