@JoshC Terrific, thank you. Self Edge has a storefront nearby, so that may be go-to. I appreciate the reply.

I just love this shirt so much. I get so many compliments on it and many questions about the brand, which I could talk about for hours. Iron Heart western shirts, to me, are that something so special that you discover one day in life and feel like it was made just for you. Today was a perfect autumn day in Kananaskis, Alberta.

This shirt definitely fades with gentle washing. Not that I mind it, but it does fade. Here is after 3 washes with the most delicate of care.

Those creases and marks look more like marbling than fading. I am wearing one today I have had from the first run 4 years ago and its showing no signs of fading what so ever, and i have washed it more than thrice

@Alex Thank you. I did all the promises of washing - presoaking for 30 mins, no spin, gentle cold, woolite for colors, vinegar prewash - that's literally all one can do. Also, I don't see it so much as marbling, but a light, consistent fading. I am open to suggestions on how to treat my unwashed black kersey differently, but with this one, I pretty much did it by the book.

I also have experience dying cotton with procion dyes, which I never treat specially in the faintest, with no creasing, marbling or fading. Just a completely different result, I get.

i'm looking to incrementally shrink this shirt. i first washed on 40C at 600rpm, and got a bit but not enough in the length. should my next step be 40C at a higher rpm? or is 60C at 600rpm a better choice?

Can you split the difference and go 50c with a 800-100 rpm? We have 50c on UK machines as well as 40 and 60.

If not, I would make the jump to 60c for sure.

Are you at risk or it becoming too short at all?

@Graham thanks for this i'm almost certainly safe in the length, but i don't want a ton off the shoulders/chest. my washer jumps from 40 to 60 C, no 50 unfortunately
